- Once again I was going through the vault and came across a blank tape that had a gem on it. This was in 2005 and the same day I was with Philly producer S. Dot Francis (produced SCRATCH'N & SURVIVIN beat for Take Down & Freeway) and he was creating the intro and promo soundtrack for STARFACE. While we were there I invited JOEY JIHAD over to meet S. Dot and to showcase his talents. The interview before he raps and the encouragement I was giving him were priceless. He was truly one of the most talented showman of the DVD era. As I stated in the interview, he had that star quality, animation, and energy that the world needed to see. One of my main frustrations from that time period was that Philly was not New York, SMH! During that time the NY artists rather underground or not were getting record deals like crazy. Philly had so much talent and many of the best were slept on and never got the attention from the labels that they deserved. Regardless, Jihad was our Philly legend and will never be forgotten for his contribution to the culture.
