The battle of the night ended up being NH vs BALBOA. It was another one of those legendary matchups that would have the same energy as an ENESS vs HOLLOWMAN. @@2rawforthestreetshistory344 Thank u. It was brief but I was blessed to meet a couple of the homies from the Jersey squad at that time and knew they were going to be coming out on the DVD. Still keep in touch every now and then with 1 or 2. From what I know most are still grindin' and involved in music. Funny thing is I'm from Philly and I had heard about Kaboom, NH and definitely Joey Jihad but never heard em til that battle. I bought that DVD and somebody stole it. Smh But it was good to see that classic battle again. Far as who won????????? I think overall Jersey had the best spitters consistently from beginning to the end. Individually, I still think Jersey won overall but to me NH and Kaboom shined for Philly. They were ready and had longer bars which helped. Jersey kinda came in unprepared for what Philly was coming with for a battle. If Balboa would've spit more bars he would've easily won every round. Only thing I wish I was there. I lived like 10 minutes from where that took place. I know it was intense in there. Definitely in the hood. Peace and Love Big Starr what you did back then was ground breaking. You put Philly on the map even more and gave emcees a place to showcase in true hip hop fashion.
