I like this guy. Natural and down to earth. Simple solution to the problem. Showed the bolts and brackets needed. Please keep making your videos.

I never knew it existed. I stacked and staggered two deep unistrut pieces in order to mount a primary fuel filter in the engine rm. of my sailboat to mount the replacement filter which is bigger and has a wider bracket - compounded by the two 90 degree elbows for the fuel hoses which were 180 degrees from one another instead of side by side as on previous filter, Thanks!

I always break out the metal cutting chop saw for cutting strut. Cutting it with a sawzall is a lot harder in my opinion. Chop saw always cuts nice and square and you can deburr it right after the cut on the side of the wheel. A lot faster and better over all. Again, if you only do a little bit sometimes; probably not going to buy and store a chop saw just for that. I like to use drop ins vs. wedges on concrete whenever possible. Just a personal preference I've had bad luck with wedges and drop ins seem to work out good everytime

Thanks for your detailed explanation. I never used Unistrut in my career. It will be a great help for me a different upcoming projects.

Thanks for the video, I've never used Unistrut before but thanks to your video I can see where it would be useful on lots of different projects I have.

Work with what you have but $150 will get you a Millwakee sub compact cordless bandsaw. Two 1/4 anchors would be more than sufficient for each. If you only cut Unistrut in the center of two holes it makes for a cleaner look. Remove the springs and assemble nuts and bolts on your fittings then drop it in the channel and tighten. I’m an Electrician in San Francisco and I love building stuff out of strut especially if I get to design it. It looked like you were having fun. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video but I would have installed a couple of 4 inch pipe bollards. You seriously put more effort into solving your problem than was necessary.

Nice video. A cutoff saw is quicker & a hacksaw is slower. I’m surprised that the spacers you used we’re placed in between the upper and lower sections so that their edges wouldn’t be exposed to a fall.

Kudos to your director & film crew. It really kept my attention. I don't think you needed that bottom uninstructed. Jersey Ken?

If you are working with unistrut all the time invest in a Hilti cordless metal circular saw. It will cut unistrut like a hot knife through butter.

I would have enjoyed more focus on the design. What it looks like when finalized. Unistrut is simple to look at and figure out how it went together. I'm not sure that I ever got a clear picture of how you chose to utilize the various brackets and fittings. Focus seemed to be more on the tools used to cut the unistrut, how strong it would be when finished etc. Pictures are worth a thousand words. A thousand words in a RUclips how-to video are largely a distraction. More PIC less yack would make for a shorter, and easier to absorb instructional. Thanks - Lumpy
