Yes it makes small interpretation mistakes here and there but I’m super impressed by it! The clarity and depth is much greater than spatial videos. It’s awesome that you can convert pictures from any source. I just wish you could batch convert instead of doing them one by one. If you have AVP, do you also experience a weird behavior where the photos are not consistently the same size? With my photos, some expand to nearly my whole field of view, while others stay relatively small.
@@acslater017agreed. But on that issue you mention, I haven’t seen that inconsistency. You do have a hybrid and an immersive mode, but I imagine that’s not what you’re talking about.
@@Alejandrolanza Oh OK, thanks. Right, *in Immersive view*, some of my photos expand to my whole field of view but others more or less stay the same size, just with fuzzy borders. Hopefully it gets ironed out
Those things are amazing, i did enjoy trialing out visionOS in spring. To your note. Spend a full day looking at old photos.... as oppose to living in the very present? Beware of yet another tech addiction :)
I love the 3D conversion of photos on my AVP! The overall effect is very convincing, even if there are small flaws. Are all of your photos expanding to immersive view? Some of mine do, but others don’t expand to the right field of view.
Im enjoying this video even though I know I could never justify purchasing this item due to the massive price tag. Damn I would seriously love one though.
Don't worry about it for now. Eventually these systems will be further refined in hardware and software, not to mention the price should come down as other tech companies begin to mimic the concept. You'll have bypassed all the early adopters' struggles and be better off for it
It does. So do the trees and clouds. Classic haters trying to find someway to insert a dig at the price. Watch Meta Quest videos if this is out of your price range.
The new hand gestures are a nice quality of life improvement, they must use LIDAR for that because the headset can still detect the gesture in low light.
Great video! Would highly recommend turning on and trying out increase focus state and increase contrast which are both in accessibility. They make the windows darker and also makes it more clear what you’re looking at to avoid misclicks
The beach scene where they captured this is pretty popular (from what I have seen in movies and the like). It makes you wonder how much Apple paid for exclusive use for even just a few hours. But yeah, the crew that has to suffer through making these truly has it rough.
Just did a demo in the store today, mind blown, was not expecting it to look and be so amazing, but 5K all in with 1TB and Applecare is just too much! Maybe some day though! Thanks for the recap...
I'm seeing all these other influencers with iPhone 16s did they somehow get it before you Arron I only care to come watch your full unboxing and reviews they feel way more detailed then a 6 min short attention span video
I'm a Meta Quest 3 owner, but i do love seeing the continued progress on these kinds of devices. Hopefully, apple can effectively lower the price in a generation or 2 or maybe offer a more "normal glasses" form factor someday. Spacial computers/ Augmented Reality devices are the future imo. Keep up the good work!
I'll never buy a Vision Pro, but I like seeing how the OS progresses in case they ever make a realistically-priced and featured headset. Apple has fantastic designers, and what they do with Vision OS will influence the entire field as a whole, so it's worth tracking.
I hope this becomes more affordable , new enhancements and lighter to wear just like the weight advancements on the new iphones, so everyone can enjoy vision
wants for APV Vision OS3: 1. control and access iphone in screen mirroring like you can with new MacOS Sequoia while your phone remains in your pocket (i.e. type, use apps, etc.) 2. more app content (RUclips, Netflix, Vision OS Games) 3. Multiple displays for Mac for boosted productivity
Does the Keyboard Breakthrough recognized other kinds of 3rd-party keyboard too (like for example any USB-C mechanical keyboards) or only Apple-branded keyboard only?
I returned my Vision Pro after 14 days back when it came out and I’ve missed it ever since. Tell me honestly though, how often are you using it? The main reason I returned was lack of content, and I don’t have a computer recently enough to do the screen mirroring.
For me the biggest deficit on the AVP is the lack of Home Sharing. I enjoy movies...especially the drive-in on the dark moon....and since I have had AppleTV since 2007 I have a large collection of movies that aren't from iTunes Store...many home movies, etc. Initially with AppleTV there were no movies purchasable from iTunes Store so if you wanted to use the thing you had to roll your own. Sooo...when they said 2.0 would have Airplay 2 at the very least I expected to be able to wirelessly "broadcast" a movie from my Mac to the AVP. I'm not talking about screen mirroring (which leaves the sound on the Mac) but true complete playback of a movie on the Mac moved to the AVP picture and sound. If this is possible, would you please tell us how to do it. I have turned on Airplay in Settings/General/AirPlay Receiver but still can't see how to do what I want to do.
Almost everyone I've tried using Persona on has said it isn't so much the graphics that are creepy but that you are a floating torso. If they'd just anchor us into some kind of body somehow it would make a huge difference.
Once I can have 3-6 screens from my MacBook in the Vision Pro, and I can play my steam games natively, i will happily switch to Mac. Until then I’ll stick to windows.
why do you assume that the beach is all that? sure I like it, others do too. I like mossy forest a lot more. Whats this general think for so many people about beaches?
I dont really love the virtual environments that vision has to offer. I find the "fake"/futuristic ones way cooler that they have on the quest platform. I know its a matter of opinion but I'm not sure why they wouldn't have a selection of both?
The first week of OS life is re-indexing stuff, on iPhone and mac hardware. There are optimizations that go on for even longer behind the scenes. I've noticed over the years which processes do what. Also I have a zero tab policy so every 3 days I clear all tabs. So that there is less wired memory and some apps are poorly made to hit CPU hard. Also I will be using ableton next year with AVP and that monster eats up 4 of my cores at full so I am not sure how it'll affect latency
I kinda feel like the tech RUclipsrs are trying their best to call this a failed product. I see it as more of an expensive beta product. I still have high hopes for it. Don’t get me wrong, if they come out with the true consumer version and there is no software for it and no one buys it, then it’s a flop! This thing hasn’t even been out a year yet. People think it has because it was announced in the Summer of last year. It didn’t release until early this year. Around the world, it’s only been out for a few months!
You're exactly right. It is a beta product, priced extremely high to ensure developers and large companies buy them. The average wealthy person was allowed purchase to fortify sales and give "average consumer feedback". The funny thing is that Meta laid out a lofty goal of filled with XR devices and the promise of the "metaverse", and they have not stopped yet. So if apple were to give up on Apple Vision they would essentially be giving control of this market entirely to Meta, which they will not do, if Apple really cares about their reputation. These XR systems are the future.
My current biggest wishes for visionOS 3: - "Hide distracting Elements" in Safari - Spatial toggle for images anywhere in the OS and not just locally stored albums in Photos - iPhone mirroring like in Sequoia - a dedicated gesture or accessibility shortcut for a "Back" command (like swiping from the left edge of an iPhone/iPad)
You get excited like a child. Because you can display the beach? What's the point of all this? Is this a toy for small children and equipment for work?
I do not get excited by it, but I appreciate the environment. Apple says it is a computer and to their credit you can work in it, but I dont think your average user wants to wear this all day.
@@acslater017 Why unpleasant? Am I supposed to be impressed with Apple's 'achievements' like everyone else? I think there is a general tendency to praise Apple excessively. I am entitled to my opinion.

A comment from someone who obviously doesn’t own one. This is my own personal IMAX theater, perfectly useful for me as it is today and well worth the price just for that for me.
I love the AVP. I have been diving into 3D movies (and my regular movie collection as well) and really like the new spatial photo conversion. It’s incredible to be able to view all the panoramic photos I took over the years and see them as they originally looked instead of flattened out on my iPhone or iPad. Apple won’t drop this product. In fact, they recognize that in the future the phone will eventually disappear and be replaced by a wearable.
