Excellent choice, I too have the r6 mkii and the r5 but lately I've found myself picking up the r6mkii more love the auto focus much better seems to be much snappier!!
I have the R6 and use the R8 as backup. May upgrade to the R6 mark2 . The curtain shutter on the R8 is very different yet my last week wedding shoot most of my best picture came out of the R8. The R6 m2 shares the same sensor. I am loving that look. I will be purchasing a R6 m2 despite only have 4 more mp’s than my R6. Congrats on your purchase
I will mention, the Info screen. When I was new that was a must for me an years later I maybe only used it a handful of times for low low shutter speed photography on a tripod. Point being I find it most cases useless to most photographers. More for hands off uses I see that being used for
Thanks for the video! I also have not had a card fail. I avoid deleting in camera however because it creates an empty space or a gap if you will in the memory card and that could lead to corruption of the card. Dual slots are a must though. Have you considered having your "deleting party" on an external drive?
I am glad you have never had a card fail. Sometimes I do delete from a hard drive. But, I have found deleting in camera speeds up my work flow. I feel pretty good about it because of the stability of Canon cameras.
@@photographybydaniellee food for thought. I'm also not concerned with the stability of the camera but more so with compromising the integrity of the sd card. Thanks for replying by the way!
The problem with R6 Mark II is when switching from photo to video. You need your left hand to switch to video and the record button uses the P settings. In the R, the record button uses what you set in C3.
Nice!!! I hear you and completely valid reasons. The R5 though has something special up it’s sleeve. In photo mode, pressing the record button allows you to use whatever video settings are in custom 3. The mode + info switching between video and photo isn’t that bad. All coming from an R7 user. The R6II looks splendid, hope you enjoy it. You upgrading any speedlites now you have the new digital hotshoe?
Hey brother I see you got both cameras that I’m goin back and worth with r62 and r5 idk which to pick for hybrid shooting I shoot both pictures and video heavy special American football, I’ve seen both with the 500 different prices money it’s not the question but which one would you pick between this 2 cameras if you had to today !!
Thanks for commenting. I would pick the R5. Both are great cameras and very close in features. I have found lately that I appreciate the speed of the CFExpress B card. 120fps at 4K is beautiful. If you ever need a larger file, you have 45 megapixels. I have always enjoyed the R5. It is a great camera. You won’t regret owning it.
The R6mII has been a super reliable camera. It is my the second camera to my R5, but it is now my first choice for social media purposes. The price of $1,999 makes it a great value. I would be comfortable building a business with it.
🥰 Love the Gasp as he lays his camera out to share with us🥳 Me, being me, I see how D's cameras help in living the ⚔WORD / Bible⚔...What do I mean? Allow me to quickly show you: ⚔Phiippians 4:6-7 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.🥇 & ⚔ Psalm 34:6 " 6This poor man cried and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles." 🏆 [NASB1977⚔] 🎉🎈GOOD JOB, D!!!🤩👏
💖 Love it, D!🤓 I can see and hear that you are loving it too! Thanks for sharing with us!!!

It’s crazy! I thought it would be a downgrade from the R5, but it is an awesome camera too.

Thank you for the kind words! I almost got the R8. I’m curious about using the R8 with strobes.
I also have the R6 with the R8 as backup and can’t help but to eye the R6II as my new main.

How do you like the R6ii after a year. I also have an R5 and need a second camera. I’m thinking about the R6ii as well.
