Sad part is that some if those agencies are in on it so when you call to report they send out a person or persons to pick up the run a way. You just helped them take that person right back into trafficking.

I had to help my best friend of 9 years through something similar and Ik this is conceded of me but I can’t help but hey happy when he’s doing good because I know it was because of my efforts and the help I gave him years ago that now he’s successful and doing well. He’s advanced me in any field and I’m so proud of my friend that he’s doing good.

I've been out of the cult I was raised in for 12 years and I still make insane mistakes. I'm so glad my husband knows my past and knows to be on the lookout for when it looks like I'm misunderstanding things. Probably not unfortunately the damage that happens when you're young tends to be permanent when it comes to social cues and other things that people learn throughout childhood when everyone else is but once everyone is grown it's less acceptable to still be learning those things.
