It's not so much that he quit acting, he was never really successful at it at all. RDR voice acting was his saving grace, as it is for a lot of Rockstar Voice Actors- but, like most Rockstar Voice Actors, they never get additional roles after working for the company. CJ never obtained additional Voice Roles, Niko Bellic's VA also never really worked after GTA IV. Even in GTA V, only the Trevor VA obtained some additional big-time work after the fact. It's the Rockstar curse.
