I've been watching on and off for years, never once played the game.
I'm in the same boat but have been thinking about playing recently. Would anyone watch someone play as a complete noob with the want to improve?
I play vs AI, so I'm also there.
What I find happens in alot of low/mid (around 700-1000) elo games is that both players boom for a time, then one person decides to be aggressive and build up military. The other player under commits to military then gets attacked with a sledge hammer of 50 units out of nowhere. they have no/little military, and even if they have the better eco they get wiped out.
I'm usually the guy that under commits.
Though red did have the better eco as well in this game
27:07 Actually 19 kills if you check red's longbow numbers. It goes from 45+3 (in queue) to 29. The scorpions were pretty good choice!
It is good to see low elo games being comentated, it motivates noobs (like myself) to play ranked
I've been in the situation where Red was when you said, "Just go imp." I went imp made trebs and won the game. The guy I was playing said, "Took you long enough." I won the game, but mentally took the L.
these low elo matches are nothing less than amazing to watch!
20:53 My farms are LEL4LIFE... at least for the first half of the game. Auto-farm is fast but definitely not perfect, so I place farms manually until my vills at least have wheelbarrow.
Auto-farm doesn't usually come into play until the point in the game where T90 would already have the 'haven't made a vill. in 5min.' meme up on screen. I'm 750elo, enjoyed this game because I've been in the shoes of both these players 11 GG!
I am saddened and disappointed by lack of attention to the shape of treeline in middle of map. I thought we were better than this.
My favorite hideout showdown is the ones in The Legend of Liar.
I doubt that red is 700. Hes probably climbing up to real elo. (unless he has low elo for other maps or civs)
iirc you start at 1000, so he probably deliberately throttled his elo so he can stomp low elo players.

Maybe, they could retire if they are pushed early. I was around that elo and I got out by just doing dark age/feudal pushes.
@@OCinneide Yeah, I think red is just a better closed map player who is good in castle age and later, but struggles with early push, whereas blue seemed to be focused towards an early game fighter (with all those skirms etc)

that's why I only doubled it. Not like 1400 is close to perfect when there are people with almost double that elo.
@@MLandriganReid Man above 1k elo people are all running strats. Red played like an 800 elo because the map/opponent suited him.

Quantity. I love T90 because he puts out lots of content. The problem then, is that some videos are subpar
It’s not everyday that you encounter a 3 elo player who builds a perfect sim city and 20 of every unit and has 2 hours of idle villager time
Plus, that game is great to learn from. How many players at this elo do exactly what Blue was doing (right tactics against the enemy civ, just badly timed and executed)? That's another point of Low Elo Legends - it's not just entertainment, some games are actually great field study!
