I’ve watched every single qualifier at least once(MbL Capoch I watched twice cuz, amazing) and I truly believe t90 having a payout for qualifiers created so many amazing games. It’s pretty clear that people were practicing much more for HcV than any other tournament from a lower-seed perspective. So excited for the new, masked, faces in HCV. Well done t90, well done.
More hyped for this than the World Cup

Same. I only watched Low Elo Legends, but did religiously. HC5 is getting me into watching the pro scene and even getting into the Twitch streams. T90 you're a legend.

t90 believe it or not, 29:00 there was a time where i went against mass bengali ele archers and i thought "well it's lost anyway i might as well try some trick"
and i went 10 - 15 trebs + skirms + a few spears to protect the trebs from light cavs.
10 trebs will just literally completely wipe the ele archers cuz they are too slow to gaurantee dodging them. so you will at least force the ele archers to be zoned away while you tickle them with skirms and slowly kill them which means you force the ele archers player to make a play and i still don't know what could he do to bypass castles/mass trebs. siege onagers would work if bengalis had them but they don't have them or bombard cannons.
that derp wall game two is so funny. players sometimes do weird shit like thinking its not worth scoutig with the vil tha made those walls to see if the wood line goes to the edge of the map lol

i may be the minority, but i really like islands. i just think that there is so mcuh water in the corners the is esesially useless space, that there could be some thing, like neutral islands with some resorcess or relics, to expand the idea of the two neutrals that we already have.
Corners are useful hiding places

since unit costs vary a lot, it would be interesting to see an alternative to K/D, similar to Value%G - how much army value did the player destroy/lose?

Elephant Archers+pikes vs. Monaspa+skirms. Who wins?
Only really Bengalis would go for elephant archers 🐘🏹 and halberdier as their comp in that scenario.
And really, they will probably just go halberdier and monks in that scenario as Monaspa are pretty much the only thing Georgians do.
I think maybe adding siege armour class to the elephant archers could help nerf them a bit. Also removing the conversion resistance. It's good for battle elephants but is silly for the archers.
It is only the Bengalis bonuses to them which makes them a hard carry unit.
Otherwise, they are just situationally useful.

I think the pros are playing Georgians wrong. T90 mentioned that players are too aggressive and don't play into late game advantages well enough. Georgian's always feel powerful once you've had a boom, surrounded by churches and then play into Monaspa when your eco is ready to support them.

1st one was quite a boring game really. Very grindy.😎
Margougou deserved to die in game 3. He had such a huge fleet of longboats and did nothing with it. He should have surrounded Mihai Island. There is nothing he could have done. But he let him bounce back with larger army.
