man t90...actually swapping the colors on purpose so we wouldnt feel as bad if we make mistakes even though we all know you never make any was really appreciated. love your flawless content!
I think that Serjeant is such an underrated unit. Pros (for example Hera) think that the Feudal Age Roman Man-at-Arms with the stronger armor upgrade is a little bit overpowered, and can hardly be countered, but Serjeants have even more armor than them, a tiny bit more HP, and just a little less attack for +15 gold. Also Serjeants can build Donjons, and without any upgrade or cost, they automatically turn into a tank in the Castle Age. So this unit in theory has great potential, it's cool to see that someone utilizes them!
Not to mention, and I think these games showed this beautifully, the Serjeant's creation time in the Donjon is only 16 sec, compared to 21 sec for MAA. Even with a single Donjon, you can get serious numbers real quick.
@@pax6833 In the last match, Youpudding used them for it, they helped in the constructing of an offensive Donjon, and they surprised and massacred the enemy's counter villager rush.
Youpudding gonna pop off at some point in the comp scene pro players who are willing to experiment are usually really good long term and have the highest of highs and the lowest of lows
I think the surprise element is all YouPudding's got. Look at his eco, look at his home defence. His micro, his reaction times. This is a lower ELO player punching above his weight class with a one-trick pony strategy, one that he shines a big spotlight on because it needs to be addressed, since it does let lower ELO players do more, with less effort, speed, skill, etc. Sicilians and Serjeants are not good for the game, and they should either not exist until Castle age, not be able to build Donjons, (only villagers, in that particular event), or not be able to produce Serjeants from Donjons. As it stands, this strategy is not unbeatable, especially not in repeated encounters. But the fact he does the same thing every time does also kind of indicate it's a crutch that's propping him up.
@@Werevixen i think you may have misunderstood my point yes at the moment he would get killed by any of the top top players but the fact he is willing to experiment is a good sign if he ever wanted to try to go pro and compete the micro base defense etc. can all get better but you cant teach the willingness to try new things and experiment.

Fun fact: Serjeants are one of the few units that can give you positive "value" from just standing under enemy TC fire. In Castle age if the opponent doesn't gets bodkin, but ofc in imp. Most civs only have Rams and very few have either Paladin, Eagles or some other special civs/boni that do that.

Honestly idk how my day would be without t90 😂 it's pure joy to watch and listen to your content and talk about age with the enthusiasm of someone who just discovered a new exciting game. It's become like an essential SUPPLYYY in my day to day

And then watching this where t90 is pointing out how players are focusing on certain aspects of the game more than others is amazing. Hearing "...but where he is focusing is his archer upgrades..." is such an amazing contrast
I think this sicilian strategy is not easy to execute. You have to delay the opponent, you are all-in in Castle age and you stop making vills. If the push fails, you are dead. And the sergeants are not the greatest of the units. But all of this makes the strategy so amazing for me. :)
