That is so different from back in the 70s when I was using an air brush. I'm going to get back into it though. I have a bunch of kits I bought for parts, I can test it out on the orphaned bodies. I think you have talked me into it. I think. Cheers Terry
That is one lovely color that suits the lines of this car. It's also a good refresher course on how you go about painting your models. Has anything changed for you over the years in terms of your techniques?
Good morning, thst wzs a fantastic looking colour, you certainly have a great work area, ihave a small desk in my spare room/computer room, best regards from Australia, Les
Amazing! Beautiful color. I appreciate you doing this video. I recently got an airbrush and am learning as much as I can before I start painting with it.
That is an awesome color. Very nice painting technique and airbrush cleaning process. Like you, I’m always learning. Can’t wait to get my airbrush up and running. Thanks for sharing.
I paint heavy also, I think it gives you a better shine. You always have some sweet paint jobs.. Flammable... No way, not with your set up most vacs have a filter, your not spraying enough in there to worry
Wet Dry vac doesn't matter. What does matter is, what type of motor. You want a brushless motor, AKA induction motor. If the motor makes that little blueish arc. It's a risk of pulling fumes through there. Keep the filters clean as possible. If your vacs owner manual says not to vacuum combustible items, then I'd be very careful. If, it hasn't blown up, yet, you're probably be safe. Pretty much, if the fan, is well isolated from the motor in the vac, it should be ok. Cool color by the way.
Love that color too! Question, if you paint your tack coat down, and while your waiting to do the second layer, and you still have some paint left in your airbrush, how long of a time does the paint have to sit in the gun, before its no good anymore?
What pressure do spray, seem like a lot of paint coming out. Your car look great . I’m doing something wrong because my results are not in the same league as yours . I’ve seen your cars at shows and they look great. Nice
Would you ever consider painting a couple vintage 1/10 R/C hard plastic bodies for a paying customer? I have about 4 vintage projects built and want the bodies to turn out as nice as they possibly can for display. I won't have the time or set up like this to complete them with my schedule.
Other than destroying the ozone layer and life on this planet as we know it, l see nothing wrong with your set-up ( I just have to remind myself that I can't breathe next time I'm in GA, because you've ruined all the air , LOL!!! )
@carsonduder8129 I would soak it over night and able to rube some of the paint off while wearing gloves and hard to get spots I would use a toothbrush... hope this helps
😂😂😂 i like how you said "goes into the vac and exits it out damaging the O-zone layer"
😁🤦🏻♂️
The wood display case looks awesome
Thanks
Super color Matt!!! Great video. Thanks for the tutorial. Enjoy your week.
You too Chris!
Great tutorial!
Great color Matthew. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. 👍👍

Looks good brother. Love my MCW paints as well.
Beautiful color. Wow, up to 724 videos & l believe I've seen every one. I discovered your channel when you were explaining your vacuum system.
Thanks Gary!!

Great color, what pressure and needle size do u use, thanks.
35 needle and 20psi

Cool 🖌
Amazing! Beautiful color. I appreciate you doing this video. I recently got an airbrush and am learning as much as I can before I start painting with it.
So here I am watching a painting tutorial while it's way too humid for me to paint! Thunderstorms incoming. 😅
🤦🏻♂️

Great color! I believe that Black Eye was a fore runner for Hellraisin by Mopar. Congrats on the award
Thanks Mark!!
Great tutorial, Matthew! 😎👍
Wow ! Love the set up
Hey Matt awesome video, that color is great, I shot a nail polish that is almost exactly the same, what psi do you paint at?
Cool George! 20psi
I paint heavy also, I think it gives you a better shine. You always have some sweet paint jobs.. Flammable... No way, not with your set up most vacs have a filter, your not spraying enough in there to worry
Very KkOoL channel and cool stuff I just made a purchase new subscriber. Dutch.
Nice color , what temp is the egg incubator is set to?
About 100f

Nice color! I like it! Do you think the Leveling Thinner will work with Createx paints?
I don't have a clue. Sorry
No, the Createx is a water based acrylic paint. Their own reducer is best but most other acrylic thinners will work.
What is the name of the dehydrator and where did you get it?
It's an old egg incubator actually
Matthew, what size airbrush needle and air psi?
35 needle and 20psi
Simple question… Great video by the way. 👌Why do you paint with enamel and not lacquer?
🤔🤔 carb cleaner doesn’t hurt the seals? That’s a great idea…
Awww people blah blah blah… lol keep the videos comin they’re great!!
Love that color too! Question, if you paint your tack coat down, and while your waiting to do the second layer, and you still have some paint left in your airbrush, how long of a time does the paint have to sit in the gun, before its no good anymore?
What air pressure do you airbrush at and love that color. Both different and nice.
20psi
What pressure do spray, seem like a lot of paint coming out. Your car look great . I’m doing something wrong because my results are not in the same league as yours . I’ve seen your cars at shows and they look great. Nice
20psi. I don't do light coats like most. Heaver works better for me.
👍👍
👍🏻👍🏻🖐✌️
I think you had better keep Heather picking your colours. That is an amazing looking colour
I agree!
i thought mcw was ready to spray right out of the bottle. so if i order paint ', i have to get hardener and reducer
The lacquers are pre thinned but not the enamels.

i am getting the laq. do you still have to get the hardener and reducer
No
thanks
Do you have any tutorials for rattle cans. I don’t have the capital to drop on an airbrush and compressor. So of those airbrushes can be expensive.😂
Nice color choice! Gonna look very aggressive, I think. Peace and love.
Thanks!
Killer paint.
Thanks
Other than destroying the ozone layer and life on this planet as we know it, l see nothing wrong with your set-up ( I just have to remind myself that I can't breathe next time I'm in GA, because you've ruined all the air , LOL!!! )
😄 I still see birds occasionally lol
@modelcarvideos5829 yeah, as they're crashing to the ground
I really need to know how you strip paint. I've tried bleach with no luck, I've also tried easy off again with no luck. PLEASE.
I've used Simple Green, it works pretty good
@jasonmoore7629 thank you, how long does it take?
@carsonduder8129 I would soak it over night and able to rube some of the paint off while wearing gloves and hard to get spots I would use a toothbrush... hope this helps
@jasonmoore7629 thank you I'll give it a shot.
Matt, Does the Mr. Leveler work with Tamiya XF colors? I've been using Pledge Floor Wax!!!!
I'm not sure about that.
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thank you!!!
Hmm, I've never seen anyone use an egg incubator. Normally just food dehydrators. What temp do you set the incubator to?
100
See Matt, I told you Heather was hot, you look at her and lose your train of thought!
