Milo what I have seen other tank restorers do is paint the bullet/shell damage silver so it looks like a fresh hit. Looks good that way.
A lot of english words are derived from dutch and vice versa. A lot of these words you can trace back to the 14th and 15th century when trade between the english, the belgians and the dutch was flourishing.
@Victor-Emmanuel and the Anglo-Saxons originally originated from what is now the Netherlands and northern Germany, and there are some linguistic similarities that remain from that.
Slavic languages use a similar version as well: Czech: kopule Polish: kopuła (kopuwa) Russian/Ukrainian: купол (kupol) Both 'dome' and 'cupola' were initially Latin words, just the 'cupola' became much more popular throughout Europe. And indeed, English language is a mix of many other neighboring European languages (French, Latin, Dutch, other Germanic, even Greek and Celtic). It was absorbing them like a dry sponge, across centuries, and eventually became its own thing we all know and love today.

You really need to watch the megafactories video covering the restoration of M1A1 Abrams tanks... the factory has an automated shot blasting cabinet that leaves a tank chassis shiny clean. Also look up soda blasting...

I have a sand blasting booth big enough to put that whole truck inside it and work comfortably. I love tank's and to be able to get to blast a tank turret would be awesome! I do blast stuff for the USA navy. But tank's are the best ever.
Strangely addictive, these videos. I had no interest in tanks. Until now... Your knowledge, enthusiasm, expertise are all impressive. I do wonder what pays the bills, but that's none of my business!

The amount of collaboration to restore this is staggering!
Lovely, and with subtitles even this thick head from Australia can really enjoy it!!!!!
That's one beautiful operation! 2 HOURS! from RUST to PAINTED!

"Maybe the tank should be green?"
-I've seen the engine run, it is definitely not a "Green Machine." LOL
It was green before it was painted sand color RAL 1001 in Irak in 1991.

Very professional work and very satisfying to watch. This is some skill and experience out there!
koepel, sounds like the English word cuploa, which is an old word for a gun turret, but also means a small dome on a house.

Actually Dutch and English have a lot in common! Koepel = dome
Fantastic. What a great facility for the sand blasting and painting. Makes all the difference when you have the right equipment.

Two uploads in a week? We’re spoiled!
All that rust removed, i bet the tank is at least 200kg lighter now ^^

It's a pleasure to see that men working!
Mooi werk.
Gald to see you all are making progress, despite the super flu.
such a huge contrast in ppe usage compared to regular videos :D
It's not everyday that you get to blast a tank, must have been fun for the guy too!
nice to see muehlhan supporting the community :)
This industrial workplace reminds me a lot of my workplace, Kvaerner, we're just over 100 years and we build oil riggs and other large scale projects.
Excelente video, saludos desde Venezuela.

they are Dutch, not Danish so the Dane government isnt funding them. and they already said it's for their own use and driving it around their land.
