great progress Ben, i've been waiting on an update. to bad your so far away from me i have access to a really nice 3d scanner. hope someone closer to you has on you can borrow.
Good to see you posting again. Hope to see more about the Kolb Firefly someday. I'm still making plans for my own and may contact you soon regarding the conversion parts you have available for the Yamaha Phazer engines.
Lot of worm gear clamps on the cooling system have to check them over time rubber gets softer and these can come lose. I seen lot of DIY cooling systems in automotive use without barbs easy to slip off the of the tube. OEM automotive manufactures don't use worm gear clamps use spring clamps. People think it's because of money not true the spring clamps are actually better if the hose gets softer over time the spring can self adjust for that. The worm gear clamp has to be manually tightened.
Looking good! That’s going to be a sweet machine. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you flying it. Gliders are cool too! What glider were you flying? Thanks for the update.
I just spotted your battery-selector/Main Power switch. I’m using the same one, except mine is red. Mine selects between 2 different ETX900VNT and IMO it’s the perfect solution, if batteries are located aft of firewall. I believe the only way it could possibly be more reliable, would be to have individual, independent manual/mechanical switches for each battery.
Just an old farmer here and I am sure you are looking at everything but one thing I was wondering about. How much clearance will you have on the prop to ground when the tail comes up? Just thought it aught to be more. Bigger tires or something. Just a thought
Hi Ben, do you think it possible to install an Yamaha Apex or Nytro into an Aerobatic biplane that does rolls and flies inverted? With the Yamaha dry sump? I have a Murphy Renegade Spirit with only a 503 Rotax.
Its a custom made system with a Ardruino based chip that was coded to blink a simple led. Easily reproduced. Yet to be flight tested but works great on the ground.
Thanks for the update, I appreciate it!" One knitpick however: "All Glass" is NOT 'traditional'; 'traditional' would be all Analog. Keep going and much success! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY

Ben, could you comment on the fuel sensor and the install on your tank?
