I wish everything you said was true. 5 star, zero cancelation rate, "priority access " diamond shopper, speed mid 60s and completed over 6,000 batches! However, I'm still waiting to see a single batch. Meanwhile, multiple shoppers have completed multiple batches, and I haven't seen a single batch of any kind from and market. And I'm in the same parking lot. Very frustrating
Algorithm is bullshit. It’s all market dependent. The only thing that really matters is having a 4.7 and being close to stores. These RUclipsrs get on here and say they figured it out and this and that when really they don’t know what the hell they talking about. If you live in a good market you’re gonna get good orders.
It's not about how early you wake up, there's no special tricks. It's all about the area. Some markets are better than others. Someone in Florida might get high paying batches all the time while someone in New York might not see many good batches. These RUclipsrs say all this dumb stuff just to get views. They could tell everybody to wake up at 3am and people will be at a store at 3am but don't see a batch till 9 or 10am. Now you wasted 6-7 hours
I mostly do instacart on weekends and usually for about 3-5 hours a day. If it's slow i tend to start with a shop only order. I also get alot of alcohol orders in my area. Those help out alot because even though they dont pay as much it keeps me moving.
It can be pretty bad… but what’s worse are people actually taking those orders. Therefore Instacart has no incentive to pay shoppers a living wage. Theres always someone moron out there willing to do $4 orders.
100% facts about the barrier to entry investment period where you have to get five star ratings from customers to be prioritized for their future orders
I have 51 seconds per item average. I have 4.93 stars. And I have 9% cancellation. Suddenly this week (which should be the busiest) has been THE WORST. Last week was great. Something is going on and I saw and spoke with other shoppers having the same issue.
That's one and a few other issues I have on starting Instacart. I really wanna start. Because I seriously don't want people breathing down my neck & all. Meaning yeah I have a boss(Instacart) but I'm glad if I DO START it's not complaining, rude ass customers 😭💀 So I get why people hate this, but on the other hand it helps alot. And yeah, most definitely, you're seriously on your own out there.
Yeah, you gotta know your market. Also, you have to have shoppers and there is a big turn over, so new shoppers coming needing to be trained. So if you aren't in a great market with a lot of new shoppers, then you probably aren't going to get as many great orders due to training purposes and the need to have many shoppers for the times the Veteran Diamond shoppers aren't working.
I'm new to Instacart (25-ish orders so far) but I already noticed that it is much more lenient if you are stationary, i.e. at home getting ready, than if you are already moving. Obviously I think the worst you can do is begin to move away from the store. I.e. early on I accepted a great offer while picking up a food delivery from another App. Within a few minutes after I started moving away from the store, which I wasn't too far away from when I accepted - and I got dropped from it. I stopped trying to dirty stack again until a while later when I was finishing up another food order, already moving in a direction that was already taking me away from the Instacart store - but only 1 mile from the destination. Nothing happened there other than it gave me a deadline for when shopping needs to start (I was 15 miles from the store then, which probably helped). Lastly I've accepted a couple orders while at home and my phone stationary. Only one once did I receive a message recommending to leave soon, but did not get a deadline.
I had an incident GPS sent me to the wrong house it was country property so mail boxes were grouped together on one side the house I was sent to had lots of signs up on their fence stating they have guns and will shoot trespassers. The home owner stepped out with their 12 guage shot gun. I got a hold of the correct customer via phone. I tried to get in touch with support to let them know what had happened. I was basically blown off. I had no way to speak to a live person, only type via chat with support. Their suggestion...call 911! Guns are legal in my state and home owners have a right to protect their property 911 would have laughed at me. I just feel like general safety is an issue here
I am trying to begin. Can you comment on wait list? I live in a small town based on my zip code.I have access to many towns and stores outside of my zip code. Help
This company is suck cheap pay for shopping and then have to take the delivery and some of them have to take stairs with 6 or more cases of water and suppose be heavy pay and they jus give te regular pay and also you have to drive from 6 to 12 miles away from the store for $11 or $16 dollars and they play smarr to put 3 shop together to look in the app like big amount but if you break that amout in 3 shop each one is $10 dollares and make that 3 shop you spent time a least 3 hours so they are not paying not even the minimum wage labor explotation..!
Shopping speed won’t mean shiii if you shopping fast and messing up your ratings 😂😂 and you live in what California? So yea I can’t trust what your saying

Same here….
So true…. It makes no sense.

🎉🎉 Thanks for the tips!!
Good information. Thanks for sharing.
I'm seeing lots of bots. People working in teams. Also if a customer assaults you. You're on your own. They do not care about your safety!!
I assault them back lol no one hitting me

The people in teams I see are nice, coming up to me trying to be social. I am just anti social lol
Also update the app every Wednesday!!! It messes me up when I don’t update it !!
Do you mean clearing the cache on Wednesday?

I live in kentucky (a small town ) i started instacart during covid was making 500 two days ) now we have so many shoppers here i barely make 300
Good info.
Do you have any insight when it comes to from when you accept an order to when you start driving to the store?

Not hiring in my area now what .. the stores listed under my area are over an hour away ..
Thank you😊
The best way to earn a lot on gig apps is to actually treat it like a job.

I avg a overall speed of 42 seconds a item. I always get great orders.
Do the colored circles actually matter??
I am trying to begin. Can you comment on wait list? I live in a small town based on my zip code.I have access to many towns and stores outside of my zip code. Help
The ratings is not fully true…. I have a 5 star and sit for three hours or more while watching other shoppers in and out of the store
I've been on the Instacart waiting list for months.. Any tips on how to move up the list faster?
Moving to a different city with less shoppers is probably the only thing that will work besides waiting.
I waited 2 years before I got accepted
THAT S*** GET TIRING TOO

I agree with many you have said
Spot on
I did Instacart for 6 days so far I’ve made a little under $500
Do you have another job?
If not, always pull up at the stores that are in orange or red. If you have another job and you made that, then it's a win-win.🎉🎉😂
New shoppers get priority over diamonds.
This is so much b******* you can't even get in contact like you want to with a Instacart rep
One thing I would add that I noticed is if a customer increases your tip the next order I get after that one is usually fire.
Shopping speed won’t mean shiii if you shopping fast and messing up your ratings 😂😂 and you live in what California? So yea I can’t trust what your saying
Info.
More like they have a bot
