Hi Drew, I see your fishing in my backyard! I recognize the holes you walked quite a ways up! my favorite water is just around the next few bends from those cliffs.
Hello drew. I find your videos very calming and fun to watch! I enjoy how you take us on all your adventures! But by chance could you maybe include some more of your casts on video! I would love to see the process from rigging up to catching some nice ones! Thanks for your time and the great content!
Wow , pretty water and solid fish for sure. I like the way you handle the fish. Patient and with respect. That’s a good example folks should embrace. With all the pressure and all. A tip, carry Baby Bell cheese. They are wrapped in wax and can go through temperature changes without getting rancid. Happy Holidays! Best!
You were in some of the best cutty waters Idaho has to offer. Last summer I caught a beautiful 16” cutthroat 200 yards down stream from your second night camp. It’s incredible that trout get that big in that small stream but they get bigger than that. The biggest I’ve caught in that drainage was 20” and I’m pretty sure I’ve had some bigger than 20 snap my line and not even give me a chance. One of my favorite places on earth.
WOW what an amazing stream stacked with over sized trout... fantastic vid Drew.. Catch video and release is your Moto... just imagine if all fishermen practiced this, what an amazing fishery we would have

Welcome back to ID sir. You are very good at not burning your spots, I can always generally guess the part of the state but have yet to recognize an exact location.
Idaho is one of my favorite states and I'd hate for any of my vids to damage those special areas. Plus I'm selfish and kinda want them to be like they are now after driving 26 hrs to fish them lol!
@@LooknFishy Respect this a lot! We had a RUclips guy from MN come ti CT and he blatantly showed some prime trout water I've been fishing since I was a kid. Major cringe.
Quite the opposite, your endover to find the road less traveled or stream less fished is a inspiration to many of us...that we too can find that place if we look for it...
I love your videos and the streams you fish. And I like how you show the fish you catch. If I could make a suggestion...tell us the size of some fish...not every one. The third fish caught in this video looked very big for a creek this size. I'd guess it was 14" or 15". You deserve bragging rights when you catch nice trout
Thank u! I've learned to avoid mentioning sizes...if I say it's big or large or huge...someone will disagree....every time lol! I've seen people argue over what someone called a 16" fish or a wild/stocked fish. So I just show them and let the fish tell its story!
I get it that some people will bicker about the size of a fish, but one of those cuties looked like it was close to 18". Its disappointing as a viewer to guess based on your hand size and how you are holding it. Catching large trout in streams is awesome...go with the awesomeness4
Some great trout and wow that cliff area is beautiful! Hard to beat small streams with big trout! I have some Maine Fly Fishing action going on over on my channel. You ever consider heading up that way for a trip? Out west is hard to beat though. I love it out there. Merry Christmas & Tightlines!
I'll check it out. I definitely want to visit Maine one day...just not sure how to drive there wo using the interstates which any time I've gone east...they are a nightmare!
Drew, did you find certain cutthroat subspecies fight harder than others? I think the westslope cutts do fight harder. I've also read that they are more surface fly oriented.
I dig the WS cutts...they definitely seem to be more aggressive. Seems like I can catch multiple from a hole...like the one in the video...even after a fish swims thru it trying to get free! I've even shown a fish from last year that broke me off and 10 mins later I caught it and got my fly back lol!
