You are absolutely awesome. The best you tube fly fishing videos. I have watched your videos dozens of times. I started fly fishing when I lived in California, and learned to tie flies with the late Andre Puyan. The AP nymph was the first fly i learned to tie. I thought it was named after him, but he claimed it was the all purpose nymph. I hope to see soon a 2023 road trip. Maybe you could include in a future video a trip through Northern California. Perhaps New Mexico, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana. Please keep the videos coming. Love it.
I am certain you cover a lot of ground to find the nice runs and holes, which you don't show. Just goes to show looks can be deceiving sometimes, and you get rewarded for your effort. Actually, we get rewarded for your effort. 😁 Thank you Drew.
Another excellent video, Drew. I've never fished Idaho, but I have to now. Gotta have my first cutthroat. Kinda funny how a 2.5 mile hike is a little easier to imagine in the afternoon! Happy trails.
Your fly line makes an unusual sound slipping through the rod guides. What fly line is it? Oh, don’t retire that net! It looks like a survivor of many epic battles, with so many stories to tell!
A stream needs a long shallow stretch for the invertebrates. My guess is there too many elk in the vicinity and the elk eat all of the riparian zone willows. In Yellowstone National Park studies have shown where there are wolves to manage the elk herd the willows and the other riparian zone vegetation come back tall and healthy.
Have you ever fished the Continental Divide in Wyoming? In a 1 mile radius, you can catch Rainbow, Bonneville Cutthroat Brown, and Brooke from 3 rivers. It's where I earned my fishing merit badge and first found a love of this sport. I'd love to see some footage of you catching the 4 species in a day.
This type of fishing is tough on us older guys, but it's worth the effort and fun. Hey drew, that stream you were fishing, was the water level low or at normal flow? Enjoyed watching. 👍
I do love your videos!! Once in awhile please throw us a bone and let us actually know the creek, stream, river, or lake that you're fishing so maybe we can have the experience too. Most of us live nowhere near any of these bodies of water but should we travel to the area, it would be awesome toggle it a go! I doubt very highly that any spot will be fished out by your viewers. We have more nature ethics than plundering. Nice cutties!

Best fly fishing content on RUclips. Something addictive about watching the trout strike the flies.
Definitely appreciate that!

God. The clarity of the water is ridiculous. Love this stuff, Drew!
Living my dream life through your vids. Keep it up!!
That pool sequence at about 10 was among the best of the year!!!! The lighting was gorgeous. The fish even better.
Incredible clarity of the water and superb scenery with plenty of big trout. Awesome video.
That was a long hike back. Water was gin clear and beautiful fish caught. Nice day!
Yet another beautiful setting... It's almost that time of year to get out into those cutthroat streams.
Definitely dreaming of wet wading weather!

So many great streams on this trip. Stunning sounds and scenery.
Really don't think I'll ever top it...unless I repeat it lol!
Loved every one of the videos in this series Drew.

This is when fly fishing is at the ultimate. So easy to get lost in the stream , surroundings ! 👍
Admirabel fly fishing,superb creek,nice trout. Super mister!❤
Many thanks!
Nice size trout!
Fishing upper Nantahala NC now
Nice brown and some smaller bows so far
Love those little cutty streams
Hoping you had a great winter and tied lots of flies. Look forward to your next trip out west!
Great video Drew! Idaho is a very nice place to fish.
Definitely a favorite!
Nice stream supporting some nice beautiful trout.
Great video Drew thanks again!
Love the videos! I like watching camp cooking also!
Definitely adding those back in this year!
a wilderness setting.....neat
Another great video!
Thank u!
You might think about trying wading pants and boots...especially the way you're fishing...they are very cool to wear and easy to get in and out of.
Another great vid, Drew. That stream seemed to have a lot of skinny water but the holes were stacked with fish.
Yea, required a ton of walking!
Insanely beautiful river! And my good what trouts! Subbed! Really nice channel! Cheers from Finland!
love your video's as a kid helps alot you should come down to ga sometime and fly fish
Definitely need to get on some shoal bass!
Love your videos! What type of wading boots and what sole do you wear? Thanks
Did you fish the lower section of this part of the stream? And how was it if you did.. i had boaters and a rain storm ruin it for me..
Your fly line makes an unusual sound slipping through the rod guides. What fly line is it?
Oh, don’t retire that net! It looks like a survivor of many epic battles, with so many stories to tell!
I fish textured line on my trout rods. That's the noise you hear. The net deserves its own page lol!
Well done as usual.
Thank u!
What fly line do you use for throwing your larger dry dropper combinations?
That was a hell of a shave Drew 😉😇
Oh, and you know what I said before: you do not need an indicator. I don't like them.
Mind DMing me where this is at. I live in Utah and love exploring! That’s a BEAUTIFUL location.
Nice to see cutthroat again, don’t have them back east. Do you carry bear spray just in case? We did some years ago when in Yellowstone.
You make Fly fishing look so easy! What length do you recommend between the slingshot and the nymph? And when to use a slingshot (or not)?
What general area of Idaho is this?
Hey brother, where have you been? Anyway, good to see ya back brother. Great stream 👍🏼👍🏼

I have not but that sounds super cool!
Back on the road….thanks. M2
This type of fishing is tough on us older guys, but it's worth the effort and fun. Hey drew, that stream you were fishing, was the water level low or at normal flow? Enjoyed watching. 👍
I assumed it was low. It was near the end of Sept and hadn't rained since I was there.
Drew, Great Cut Throats. Can you tell me what brand of 10' 4 weight Rod you use?
Great example of how you dont need 6 rods to catch fish, but there are situations where it's nice to have options.
Kelly Creek?
You need to fly fish sliver creek in ID . It's a place once you see and experience you will dream about it the rest of your life.
It opens up on Memorial day some of the biggest German browns and rainbow trout you will ever see. Night fishing with a mouse is epic a most try.
@@kdub4728 I live an hour away from that creek I love fishing it and the little wood rivved
In Idaho that's called a creek.🙈🙈🙈 In California that's a full blown river. Where was it exactly?
5 of diamonds next......
