  • With not much going on for Mopar in the last while, today we are discussing the future of Mopar including the 2026 Durango, 2027 Ram midsize pickup, and Hurricane-powered Charger and Challenger. What helped to shed some light on the future was the fact that the United Auto Workers strike has finally ended. Obviously to end the strike, UAW leaders were able to come to an agreement with Stellantis, and those details were shared with UAW members. The agreement outlined job-related information like wage increases, but also detailed production plans for upcoming models with respect to Dodge, Ram, and Jeep. Today we will focus just on the first two brands.

Yep. A person better buy their Hemi now if they don't already have one, or just need another. People will probably hold on to theirs like you're doing. I've been on the hunt for a specific Hemi now for a bit.

Hopefully the French and Italian management will admit they have no clue what the North American car market is about and sell Chrysler Dodge Ram and Jeep back to an American or Canadian owner. Rebadged Alfa Romeos Fiats or Puegots with American brand names will not cut it. I will never forgive Obama for forcig Chrysler to merge with Fiat.

We love our 2018 Durango with the V-6. Has plenty of power and the gas mileage is actually pretty decent. Around town we get low 20s and on long highway trips we routinely get 26+. The drivetrain is excellent and seamless and the interior is well designed. Personally, I think it's the best looking SUV ever made.

  • @nintendoatarikiller

Solid plans, but I think it's silly offering two different six cylinders on the same vehicle. Just remove the turbo on the hurricane motor and bump the compression for the base motor. Pentastar has run its course, save it for the fleet vehicles.

As for the mid size truck, it'll be the South American market Fiats. As the Rampage has already been said to be a smaller mid-size to the Ram 1500, The Brazil/SA nameplated Ram 1000, will probably be the Dakota as the "compact" to go against the Maverick, Santa Cruz etc as a "Unibody truck"

They need to focus in maintaining their muscle car image and quality, for goodsake, quality. A car shouldnt break down before 100k. My brother Durango transmission went out before 40k miles. I own a Jeep Gladiator Mojave, which i very much love, but can see details that makes me worry about long term quality.

Any info on new HD trucks? Also wondering why they keep reducing which HDs get the 6.4 Hemi. For 2023 you could no longer get it in the Limited and Longhorn trims. For 2024 you can no longer get it in any MegaCab. Lot of speculation in the forums that Ram is waiting for that new multi fuel Cummins to replace the V8. And of course the eternal question, when will the HD's get a new modern cab?

I’ll say this for Dodge Chrysler Jeep and RAM this is what dodge should do and needs to do right now for the future of cars, trucks, SUVs, and crossovers they should bring back cars from the dead give the charger challenger and Durango new looks then give the hornet the demon package the SRT package the 392 package the hellcat package in scat pack package yes give the hornet those trim packages so it can look cooler but along with having a huge lineup dodge should also go back to having its own dealership but with ram truck though for Chrysler Chrysler needs to make the the 300 look more like the Rolls-Royce phantom and bring back the old cars from the dead and create a huge lineup so that more Chrysler cars can become more popular along with the 300 and bring the pt crusier as well Jeep needs to design the Cherokee and make the renegade look more cooler and bring back other Jeep SUVs and crossovers back from the dead too and give them the track hawk treatment packages in the SRT trims packages too cause the gladiator grand Wagoneer in the new grand Cherokee needs the track hawk and SRT packages trims too and once jeep and Chrysler have a huge lineup of cars trucks, SUVs and crossovers Chrysler should go back to sharing a dealership with Jeep too ram needs to keep the TRX around longer, especially for the future and then bring back the SRT trim package too that’s what ram needs to do and share a dealership with dodge too so that’s what needs to happen for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and RAM and for the future of mopar and they need to bring back Plymouth too that’s what they need to do to along with that

I've said it as soon as my eyes caught it: that body in white with the trans tunnel is NOT a charber folks! It is the next Challenger coupe. The volume level Charger will be a 4-door just like the current offering (just look at the CHARGER SRT BANSHEE CONCEPT's silhouette). In that silhouette lives all, three current L-platform mates' replacement, just as the DODGE SUPER-8 HEMI of the early 2000s combined (disguised) attributes of those forthcoming automobiles. They are good at this stuff. First up: Challenger! They've been trying to keep the competition at bay all the while gaining an edge. Just like in the 90s, in order to bring back a modern V8, revenues had to be generated from the most lucrative part of the market first. All things being MOPAR, I'm reaching and saying it makes more sense to build a STRAIGHT 8 (I8) due to synthesis in modularities based on the HURRICANE I6 than it would be to re-engineer an old relic like the current HEMI! THINK ABOUT IT...
