*before:* want volante
*after:* want cool synth too
Everything on the Organelle was amazing
Wow, thanks for that! That was an amazing example of the capabilities of this unit. Glad you're showing the synth users some love.
Lovely sounding pedal! Always enjoy Peter's demos too :)
I was looking into stereo delay pedals for a synth and already favoring the Volante. This is just what I needed to see. Thanks, Strymon!
I might have watched this once before prior to picking up the Volante, can't remember. I gotta say that is a highly entertaining demo. I'm not even a synth person.
Killer demo!!
I FELL IN LOVE ONCE HE GOT TO LOOP ON THE NORD!!
Yeah, this “demo” has so much musical value that I had to stop being a lazy so-and-so and go listen on my monitors. Thanks for caring enough about a great product to show that great music can be made with it. This, more than anything else I’ve seen, has put this pedal in the “must own” category for me. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
the progression in the beginning was great. Had my headphones in waiting for some banter and my neck jerked liked damn lol
This was a very good demo. More synth demos please
Peter Dyer is the daddy of all demos. You've just sold one more
Sick demo.
Strymon is the king of pedals. Thanks for posting this.
Peter Dyer is frigging amazing
Ok,im sold on this.
Oh the soundscapes and cinematic music I can do with these gears.
The first video of the Critter & Guitari Organelle was incredible, hope that thing worked itself into a track later on!
I just love how even though the strymon pedals are being pushed to their limits that's not even their true limit.
Guitar player here, who wishes he was a keys guru; thanks to Strymon for once again pushing my tonal palette into that realm😊 Love my Flint/Mobius/Deco & new Volante!!!
Thank you!!
I have the Volante and the Prophet Rev2. This made me realize how much more I could do with this combo.
Don't sleep on the Rev2! Big fan of this combo
the rev 2 is so deep people will be discovering new things to do with it for quite a while i think
Almost like a very good mini concert!
Great! 👍
I use my Strymons quite a bit with my synths, amazing sound. The Volante has been a great addition.
Thank you. We have enjoyed in the past listening to your videos :) Just realized though we should subscribe!!
strymon thanks guys! Love your stuff!
This guy better have made some soundtracks for space shooters/exploration games... insane! The volante is a beast in the right hands. 😳
He think he clearly have made a lot of this type of tracks.
great playing!
Thanks for watching!
Many thanks Master: let's wait.
This Effectpedal is soooo nice. I love the Sound. You did a awesome job guys. I hear 4:16 min - 5:04 min and can dream. I love this so much.. I hope i can buy this in the future. This is expensive but really really awesom, i love it!! Thanks
Peter Dyer 👏
Peter Dyer is a genius
Epic
Came wanting a pedal, left wanting a synth.
Damn........Rev2 sounds gorgeous!
4:41some 2000s trance sound :)
yeah, okay. you got me. goddamn it
guess I need one of these too now,
Leave it to Peter to sell a Strymon pedal. His demo of the Dig sold me on that 4 years ago.
yeah I bought mine on that vid lol
Trent Reznor loves this demo
wow
I should plug my Rev2 into my Strymon, been using it with other synths.
You should. I've used it with prophet 5, moog m32, vintage rolands, ah so many! They all sound fantastic through the volante!
5:05 dude accidentally just wrote the next m83 hit.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sold - to the guy on the left
I always appreciate when someone does a delay pedal demo with synths. And then the arpeggios starts... The demo sounds stunning no question, but there is no room left for just the delay sound. I don't think arpeggios and padsounds work best on demonstrating a delay. But that's a matter of taste I guess. Thanks for the video though. Some really great sounds.
Dude... You high?
Synths are more than just electric pianos. Most synths players are into synths because of the sequencing and stuff.
@@joshallen4848 As a synth lover myself, I know that quite well. My only concern was that you can't hear the delay signal well. And this is supposed to be a demo.
And no. I'm not high.
@@basicnoise I totally get what you mean. I look at these demo to hear the 'harmonics' the delay produces, and that's my indicator for purchasing.
I want these rev2 patches 👍 somehow possible to get?
Do all of the delays (and SOS, in this case) sync to clock via MIDI like the TimeLine?
Your delay time can be synched using MIDI clock, but not the SOS looper. Hope this helps!
Damn this thing really sings with the Prophet he's using...
I want Peter to sign my Prophet
!
Peter Piper signed a pack of pickled Prophets.
So it’s a mono output from sub25 into mono in on the volante going out stereo out from it to your mixer? Isn’t it better to have a stereo out of the synth from the start to get a full stereo impact or not?
The Sub37 is a monoaural instrument, and has no stereo output.
wow, side question: how did he achieve the modwheel sound in the second part of the video?
Hey! Which specific part of the video? I can try to figure it out for you :)
That would be awesome. Its the modwheel sound he plays at 1.11 mins
@@tendingtropic7778 hey, i can answer this! The Sub37 can route MW to Arp on/off (which is not common, but pretty sweet), so the MW is flipping it on and its at 32nds or whatever, and im holding a chord while its on. The 1/8th note pulse thats happening the rest of the time is using it's synced latched envelopes.
@@peterkeys88 thank you for the reply!
A great question and great reply!
Is there anything from Strymon cheaper than 399$ ? ;)
4:17 trance
He looks like a budget Matt Damon
I accept
LOL, that's why you read RUclips comments.
You sound like a budget Rowan Atkinson (intended for Ivan not Peter) Peter you sound dope.
I almost spat water out of my mouth. I gotta stop drinking water when reading youtube comments.
MATT DAMON!
Strange Things vibe

Hello Great Master Peter: I would like to see a video of you with the Pedal and the Nord. I am interested in buying a Strymon Steering Wheel for my Nord Stage3. Thank you very much!
We will keep that in mind if we get the opportunity to do a second synth video with Peter :) Thanks!
Also just wanted to make sure you are aware that there are a couple of Nord Stage3 examples in this video, at 11:37 and 12:25. :)
Amazing demo ,sadly I'm going to stop watching strymon videos since I'm beginning to hoard their pedals.
What’s the difference to other delays?
May be I missed the point.
Hi Thomas, Are you asking about all delays in general or about Strymon delays? Thanks!
@@strymon Thanks for asking. Whats the difference about the other Strymon delays?
@@Tron01000 I'd say that in short, the Volante combines classic magnetic drum and tape echo sounds in a format similar to our smaller pedals, with onboard presets and MIDI functionality, which up until now was only available in our bigger pedals like the Timeline.
It's also packed with tons of features like built in spring reverb, fully adjustable delay heads, 8 on board presets, and a SOS looper.
For a better description than that which we'd be able to give you in a single RUclips comment, please email support@strymon.net and we'd be happy to expand further!
Thanks!
I do hate the destructive loop, can we have it default to non-degrading?
Unfortunately that is not an option, but I will pass this along as feedback to the team :)
strymon that’s a shame. As long as the “feedback” team are in the loop haha
@@strymon will there be updates available for this pedal? Is it possible to add stereo output to SOS mode? I read through A LOT of RUclips comments, and I am impressed with your customer support. 👍🏻
@@patrickmcmurtry5398 Hey there! We don't discuss future product updates, so I can't say if that is a change we'd implement, but I'm happy to share your feedback with the team!
I hope strymon and Pete are getting a cut of all the Sub 37 sales this video is driving. I own one and almost bought a second one during this video. Mega lust for a prophet was also caused.
Is this better than the Strymon DIG?
That's a very subjective question and sort of apples to oranges. It really depends on what you're looking for. If you want something bigger with presets and MIDI, with more vintage delay sounds, then the Volante is for you. If you want something smaller with 2 independent delays and a more modern tone, then I'd go for the DIG. :)
Nothing is better then the dig for me but I have and enjoy strymon pedals of all kinds
Lorneplumber they’re both I just don’t know which one I’m gonna get Lol.
The thing on which volante is placed - that is NOT a table!
😂You are correct!!!
Hello de France prochain achat pour mon Roland JP 8000 encore bravo démo cordialement Daniel
With a solid chorus pedal and a Volante I see no reason to buy a RE-501 other than novelty.
What are the Synths he's using here, anyone?
Moog subsequent
Dsi prophet rev 2
(?)
Moog dfam
Clavia nord electro
Moog grandmother
Hi, they are all listed in the description :) Thanks!
@@robertfliegel2757 thanks!
@@strymon thanks!
From the looks of it, Strymon will be producing synths within the next 3 years. They have already been working on several effects engines. They are investing heavily on filter/LFO technology. If not, at least, I predict Strymon will be collaborating with an existing synth manufacturer which would boast a Strymon effects engine. I guarantee it will not be the likes of: Roland, Yamaha nor Korg.
Ok.
I have stopped listening to music. I just play this demo over and over....
How about a strymon pedal on some boring ass softsynth to make it come alive?
You can live with one kidney, right?
Salieto Hang onto the kidney. Sweetwater’s got 48 month 0% financing on all the Strymons until 8/26.
Does this guy know everything? :| Good grief Charlie Chaplin.
Timeline is more then enough for me! At least dTape setting on the timeline has tape age adjustment! This is the most important setting for the true tape effect! Volante totally skipped this! Will definately bypass volante...
Isn't that the wear setting on the Volante?
@@MadcapJake, wear setting is only like a filter, but won't bring the analog warmth..
To tell you the truth I have the Timeline ,but will get me the Volante, cause it's Strymon quality and this pedal spunds great. This wll be my sixth delay pedal.
I'm the guy who owns only one pedal per effect...
@@XPJV the combination of low cut, wear, and mechanics basically accomplishes the same thing, also these are DSP pedals so technically there's no "analog warmth"
Maybe be a little more minimalistic with your key playing so we can hear that actual pedal
I have Volante!!! My favorite device EVER!!! I can play my virtual Bosendorfer with it for hours. But OBG!!! What a terrible demo!!! In this video not only Volant sounds terrible, like cheap box but all those beautiful instruments as well. What a pity. I'm not a kinda hater. Just love Volante too much. What I heard in this video physicaly hurted my ears. Very sad!
Meh.
