so, I am interested in the car, but am a beginner. There appeared to be no power pack, controller or battery in the box. Apart from the kit, what else does one need to get this thing going?

Another $519 odd dollars if you actually want to use it. I can understand having to get the controller but having to pay extra for engine and battery for a all up price of $1000.00 I don't think so.

- Steering servo
- Transmitter and receiver
- Electronic speed controller
- Paint for the body shell
