Juice turned into a horror movie after Bishop killed Raheem. Fun Facts: Snappy Nappy Dugout was played by Singer Oran “Juice” Jones. He sings one of the greatest one hit wonders of all time Walking In The Rain. The angry DJ who snatched the tape out of Queen Latifah’s hand was played by Flex Alexander.
Y’all need to do Clockers, New Jersey Drive, CB4, Dead President, Belly, Mo’ Money, South Central, Strapped, Fresh, and Baby Boy to name a few. Love y’all podcast great shit.
The original ending was Bishop letting go of Q’s hand saying “I ain’t going to jail”. They didn’t have the budget to put in the script, but Bishops pops was raped in jail, that’s why Radames was making fun of bishop in the beginning. That was the main driving force for Bishops mentality needing power.
Juice: First and foremost, one of my fav movies especially from my 90s childhood years but Bishop is one of the most psychopathic characters ever!!!! Tupac delivered as much as Omar Epps/Khalil Khan/Jermaine Hopkins, but Bishop is so many guys I knew in school or in the streets... everyone played their part Raheem: Leader who was growing due to his kid Q: Peacemaker who believed in his dreams Steel: Outsider needing a fit for himself Bishop: Troubled teen becoming Aggressor who always looked for respect out of anger!
What Bishop doesn’t understand is that his three friends love him more than he loves them. They’ve always had his back from the good and bad times. I understand that he didn’t have that much of a family in his life and doesn’t have no goals like Q, Raheem, and Steel, but that doesn’t give him the right to do what he did trying to kill everybody. I always thought that Samuel l Jackson character was like a father to these boys because he’s been knowing them since they were kids.
I love y'all insightful review on this classic film! Its definitely in my top ten. It touched on so many things from Trauma, to family dynamics, to the storyline of the power driven individual who was hollow..and many more can yall please do a review on Sugar Hill
Bishop's mentality just became indestructible. One of my fav scenes was when the cops were interogating Q, Steele, and Bishop. Bishop remained level headed not folding at all. None of them really folded, but when Pac just laughed at the cops that scene was just pure gangsta!!!
This is how messed up Bishop was: He could have bagged Raheem's sister, her being vulnerable and all because of her brother's death. However, Bishop didn't even attempt to go after her. He wasn't interested in women. He was so far gone that all he wanted to do was show people how tough he was, and how much juice he had, so no one would mess with him.
I don't see resentment with bishop and his father, I see Bishop loving his father unconditionally. And he seemed hurt that he's not functioning like he probably used to when Bishop was a little boy.
Yolanda was a savage. She really had Q sitting in her apartment with her ex husband inside while she’s packing up his stuff. Like how savage is that LMAO
Definitely a 5 fist black classic! I watch this movie multiple times every year. First time I watched it I was bunking school and watched it on VHS! Loved it straight away. Epic performances from all! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
DJ Drama recreated a few scenes with the actual cast to promote his album recently and it's hilarious. No squib blood pack for Radames getting shot and his fall looked silly. Also, we were never told what Riverside was. Set, crew, street? If that was supposed to be Raheem's sister, them flirting with eachother at beginning was odd.
I’m on the east coast and there is a black in every Puerto Rican neighborhood and vice versa so to us Treach made sense in that crew. I mean look at Nore from Capone n noreaga. It’s regular out here

Although Pac was more controlled and knew who he was to degree . Prison and being shot also changed him for the worst.
