Thank you!!!! 😁 I don’t understand how they missed this tone of the film. Sincere(Nas) character to me almost from the beginning of the film was basically over all the bullshit and moving how they were moving. To me his mind had left the environment way before his physical did which resulted in him having a stoic, almost emotionless personality towards the environment and relationships outside of the ones he care for in his home. I agree with the point that Sincere and Bunz were growing apart and both were seeing that in real time. Sincere to me was trying to at every stop give wisdom to Bunz and bring him along to his next elevation in life while Bunz was trying to hold on to the last of him that was keeping him grounded and somewhat reasonable. Neither wanted to leave the other “Alone” in this world but knew the inevitable was near. Also, I don’t think Sincere(Nas) character was weak at all, I believe they misread his emotions totally wrong. I think how the character was written was purposefully written that way, his expressions were more of a daydreamer being in class thinking about where they are going to go in life and how they are going to get there then weak.

If so may I suggest Panther 1995, Deacons For Defense with Forrest Whitaker, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, The Walking Dead ( a film about black soldiers in Vietnam) and Rage In Harlem. The Legend of Sonny Carson also and The Bobby Brown story.
Tommy and Sincere were definitely best friends. Tommy was just wild and wasnt really the emotional type. You saw how he flipped out on Black when he heard he wanting to get at Sincere. Tommy wasnt going to hug Sincere in his final goodbye, but you knew Tommy had real love for Sin cuz when Sincere still had possessions of some of Tommy's belongingss, he asked him what he wanted him to do with them like the cars and all that. He told Sincere to accept it as a gift and you know how selfish Tommy was so you know he had love for Sincere.
When Shameek (Method Man) and Kiesha (Taral Hicks) are fighting, she cries to Shameek, "I hate you!" That was such a personal statement - to hate. It leads me to wonder if Kiesha and Shameek had a backstory...? He knew his way around her home.
I love what you guys are doing w the podcast. But Tone bro, quick critique: I believe you misinterpreted the word “aliases” for “associates”. Bundy protected Sincere by taking the rap. Totally not snitching

Totally disagree they are right on point. Acting was terrible and bad character was such a follower. This doesn't even come close to state property, new jack city, or in too deep
@@bmills6176it’s all good. It’s opinionated. But when they said he snitched on sincere, you can tell they didn’t understand that scene so you can only question the rest of their perspectives🤷🏾♂️
Agreed. Meth had on a vest. He went to Nebraska to kill Rico for snitching. Bunz didn't snitch. Sin was clean and they already know who Bunz/Tommy is. He had warrants. So not only didn't Bunz snitch, he added Sins' name to the rest of his aliases . That way, anything dealing with Sin falls on Bunz.
I was talking to my bro about this movie the other day, wishful thinking, but you get 50 cent to produce this into a 4 season series, you can make the high points in this movie make sense in a series. Flesh out the characters and get more in depth.
The thing about the movie is dmx and Nas said it was half of the movie they ran out of the budget I guess I’m not for sure but that’s why the kept saying that belly 2 was coming out so for it to be half a movie it was decent to me I wish they had finished the other half though

That morning blueish gray is how Rochdale normally looks at that time of the morning
hype just made a 2hr long video ... my favorite part was when they went to Jamaica. Nas & T boz acting was tubi worthy
Ike love had a vest on
Y'all should review every season of the Wire.
Knowledge's girl got booked too if I'm remembering correctly
You're right. He voiced that over the phone to Method Man
I love what you guys are doing w the podcast. But Tone bro, quick critique: I believe you misinterpreted the word “aliases” for “associates”. Bundy protected Sincere by taking the rap. Totally not snitching
Meth had a vest on
I love y’all. I love the podcast….but yall missed this one miserably…..I get everyone has an opinion but yall clearly missed a WHOLE LOT of points in the movie.
Totally disagree they are right on point. Acting was terrible and bad character was such a follower. This doesn't even come close to state property, new jack city, or in too deep
Nas character
@@bmills6176it’s all good. It’s opinionated. But when they said he snitched on sincere, you can tell they didn’t understand that scene so you can only question the rest of their perspectives🤷🏾♂️
@@bmills6176 I feel State Property 2 wasn’t the best. I was hoping State Property 3 happened smh. State Property I might have to watch again
That was GhostFace Killah driving the Lexus that Method Man jumped in the car.
Dang, just looked it up. Belly is on TCM. Those golden years gonna be lit.
I was talking to my bro about this movie the other day, wishful thinking, but you get 50 cent to produce this into a 4 season series, you can make the high points in this movie make sense in a series. Flesh out the characters and get more in depth.
Method man’s character had a vest on in the bar scene
Not FBI, ATF or CIA would alert local PD before they kick in the door. For this specific reason lol.
The thing about the movie is dmx and Nas said it was half of the movie they ran out of the budget I guess I’m not for sure but that’s why the kept saying that belly 2 was coming out so for it to be half a movie it was decent to me I wish they had finished the other half though
Crazy y’all say Nas should’ve rapped this film’s plot. The scene with the kid on the bench is from a verse off his first album illmatic.
No honor amongst Theives could be the angle Hype tried to portray but a Dream Team cast would be an absolute Nightmare to direct.
This might be too local, but y’all have to do Baller Blockin’ (the Cash Money movie)
A lot of people didn’t realize but Nas gives his chain to the young kid on the bench but later on at the end he got the chain back on his neck before leaving for Africa..😂🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ 3.5 fist man lol
Yeah that shit was dumb 😂
I'm a n***a from Brooklyn
Born in 84
I LOVE!!! Hip Hop
I didn't like Belly
Nas was a bad actor in it
Too much DMX
Then the 3rd act is horrible
Jay Z was supposed to play Tommy Bunz. Jay was supposed to be the hustler but it didn’t work on screen. DMX was the right fit
Please react to Sugar Hill would love to hear y'all reaction to it
they dead wrong for saying tommy snitched on sincere
he need to apologize for that. very irresponsible
