Russian made Vityaz-SN and it's civilian version Saiga-9 over time will not only break it's top cover, but also very common issue of beating it's own bolt guide rails in the receiver to death; ofc making gun unsafe to use. Because it's simple blowback gun and because of AK heritage bolt is very AK-like and it is designed that way there's a lot of mass just above line of recoil. So, because of Newton's First Law, upper part of the bolt wants to stay still while bottom part is already moving, making back side of the bolt to "bump up" after shot just a little bit and over time this little "bumps" will cause guide rails to break. As far as I'm aware this happens to majority of Vityaz-SN's and Saiga-9's at about 5000-7000 rounds through mark. And there's no preventive measures nor fix to it, as far as I know. Again, I'm not saying that KR-9 or AKV-9 are guaranteed to have the same issue, but this problem haven't been addressed in the video and people probably want to know about that well known and extremely common issue on very similar product overseas.

@@GBGuns Lol. If you're going by that measure, then it's not any different vs. other direct blowback pcc's. Besides, the AKX9 was a limited production pcc. About the only thing that makes them the "same" is that they incorporate the AK as it's foundation. Other than that, they aren't the same at all...
They shoulda given it to you. You're a professional reviewer who helped them improve their product & saved them a lotta money. I woulda given you a free gun.
Compare the Saiga-9 SMG which is pretty much what we're seeing here. Saiga-9, the civilian, semi-automatic equivalent of Vityaz-SN; although the former is said to be incapable of firing with the stock in the folded position.
Once again, they need to recreate the Bison SMG. Basically the same except a sweet helical magazine under the front forearm. Peter G. Kokalis did a review a long time ago in SOF magazine.
Only issue I have with considering buying one, they were suppose to come to market years ago. Same issue with their AK-47 variant, which is still yet to come to market.
I've been extremely excited for these ever since I heard about KUSA working on them down here in Florida. Glad to see you have a positive experience with them; can't wait to pick one up for myself!
Unfortunately I was told by KUSA that shooting reloads voids your warranty. They didn't say "any damage determined to be caused by bad ammo such as reloads would not be covered under warranty" what they said exactly was "shooting reloads VOIDS your warranty". Pretty lame considering the most experienced shooters typically reload!
Im glad youre honest about the PSA- Other channels would flock to the name brand without a mention of PSA being a decent option too- and I like how the psa has a BHO. I can see how the Original would be better, probably smoother and nicer quality- plus the historic factor . But the PSA looks cool too and works. Would like to see a head to head , gauntlet and accuracy test of the two!
I think the PSA avk9 sounds like a better alternative. Its has a milled mag well instead of polymer on the kr9 it uses scorpion magazines and its cheaper. But if you want a vityaz clone then go with the K USA

@@Hrajnoga That idiot Obastard put out that ridiculous law where firearms from other countries couldn't be imported without X amount of US made parts. I dont know all the details, just enough that we can't even get a nice commie block AK 47 anymore.
MLGInfidel1 that was Bush Sr.
Привет Американским любителям оружия!!!!))) В России это оружие в гражданском варианте называется САЙГА-9. А для армии называется "ВИТЯЗЬ". Я стрелял из него. Отличное оружие!!! Желаю всем удачи!!!)))
So what are the differences between this and the AKX-9?
go watch a video on the AKX-9 and you'll see pretty quick how different they are.
@@AnontheGOAT I own the AKX-9. My question was about the operation/function. This is essentially the same gun with some cosmetic changes.
@@AnontheGOAT Lol
They had one of these at my local gunshow 2 days ago..it comes in a nice orange hardcase
They shoulda given it to you. You're a professional reviewer who helped them improve their product & saved them a lotta money. I woulda given you a free gun.
That thing looks fun AF.
WHERE ARE THEIR 762×39 RIFLES AT?!?
E A 5.45x39 too?
@@jason127x99 haven't got into the caliber yet but hell yea. That too!
Haven't had the chance to bump-fire my AKX -9. Very frowned upon at my club range
Compare the Saiga-9 SMG which is pretty much what we're seeing here. Saiga-9, the civilian, semi-automatic equivalent of Vityaz-SN; although the former is said to be incapable of firing with the stock in the folded position.
Vss is my bucket list gun!! MAC help haha
At 12:43 you didn’t blink once in 30 rds. Very impressive. 👍
You guys notice things I don't... 👍
Once again, they need to recreate the Bison SMG. Basically the same except a sweet helical magazine under the front forearm. Peter G. Kokalis did a review a long time ago in SOF magazine.
I'm liking mine a lot! It's OK suppressed but like you Tim, I'll just shoot it stock. Just ordered the drum mag! ;)
Only issue I have with considering buying one, they were suppose to come to market years ago. Same issue with their AK-47 variant, which is still yet to come to market.
well it's available so... I bought mine from Brownells 2 months ago.
Im glad youre honest about the PSA-
Other channels would flock to the name brand without a mention of PSA being a decent option too- and I like how the psa has a BHO. I can see how the Original would be better, probably smoother and nicer quality- plus the historic factor . But the PSA looks cool too and works.
Would like to see a head to head , gauntlet and accuracy test of the two!
Coming up on 1M gents, keep up the great content! BECOME A PATREON VIEWERS!!!
I think the PSA avk9 sounds like a better alternative. Its has a milled mag well instead of polymer on the kr9 it uses scorpion magazines and its cheaper. But if you want a vityaz clone then go with the K USA
Great video!
Just bought the PSA, should be in Friday:)
Great video Tim. Can you make a new video comparing this to the zenith z5rs, and b&t apc9 pro and or ghm9?
Keep pumping out these great videos.
You get to play with the best toys. Love you channel. I have no doubt you will accept Yankees challenge to fight 1639 and you been doing all along.. Love to see you torture test pistol videos
Nice,I saw mags are $45-50 a piece, and this is in my area $1300-a piece.
Thanks for comparing with the AKV. Foresight like that us why we keep you around. Good vid.... "Pig in poop."
you can fix some of the suppressed gas blowback by putting some tape on the back of the dust cover. just saying.
That's awesome, I hope their AK rifles comes out soon.
Tim your services are worth lots of monies I don't think it would change anything if you accepted payment for your services. Keep up the good work.
Some people get their panties in a knot about any exchange of money. The way I feel, Tim should be getting as much money as possible for all his endeavors.
@@xenonram agreed sir.
Kr9
Very nice weapon. I also liked how you tagged the accessories in your video. So, where does this leave the Scorpion Evo in your list of faves?
Also, I just picked up the Evo pistol w/SB tactical brace and am wondering if I can shoulder fire it since it's just a pistol?
Your suggestion?
Thanks
Ok, now I want another gun haha!
Nice Norinco shirt !👍
