My life was turned upside down, I lost friends, & family. I was shunned by people I wanted to grow to love. I felt like everything good in my life I had to fight for, alone... but that wasn’t true. I found more joy in God’s presence, I acknowledged the many ways the people who chose to be in my life were so loyal and kind, I grew mentally and realized that in order to live and have peace I’d have to consider perspectives more than my own, while still acknowledging my own feelings. I practice choosing happiness everyday (still a struggle sometimes). I celebrate the wins in life and find joy in my losses. I stopped expecting myself to be perfect, and focused on growth. I was blessed enough to rekindle a genuine friendship that I missed. I cry more. I express more. I actively try not to hide my light and to smile often. I’m finding my passion, and letting go of the notion that I’m “too late”. 💕
