Lynn was absolutely correct... it is all about 1 day tourism " fast boat's" fill up with "kerpunkle up'd boonggy's" ( big ass drunks 😂🎉) and fill up the slips! Luv you guys, keep the boating faith Lynn - Roger out!
Your videos are helping my husband see that this can be our next chapter too. It’s been my dream for a long time so thank you for making these, the good, the bad and the sunsets. 😊
I just wanted to say i really enjoy your channel. You make me want to buy a boat like yours and retire in they ecact same way. Im allmost 60 and so ready to put my toes in the sand and not leave. Lol. Sorry for the ramble. Again thanks for the content. Peace. Safe travels.
Love watching ya'lls videos! After I came across one of your videos, I liked it so much I had to start from the beginning. Born and raised on the water here in Florida and have been offshore more times than I can count. I have always thought of the idea of living aboard and after watching ya'll, I have decided it is what im going to do! Your videos are great because not only do you film the great times, you also film the repairs. Watching is almost like being there! Keep the videos rolling! BTW...I have never heard someone call a beer koozie a cozy! I heard you say that and about spit my beer out laughing so hard! Is that a Philly thing? I was just up in Philly last year. Took a flight there to drive over to Cape May, NJ where my son graduated the Coast Guard. Philly was nice!
Bimini --agree best bargain marina is Blue Water. It is a 5 minute walk to Big Game and all the "downtown" stuff including customs & immigration, restaurants, etc. Be sure to parade if you are there for Xmas-New Years Junkanoo festivity. To save more, anchor off South Bimini -- very quiet, sheltered, good diving and fishing while you wait for weather to cross to US.
Love watching your adventures! We will be at the Anapolis boat show on Friday but I will see if I can talk the wife into going back for a Saturday meetup.
Ed and Lynn I am really impressed by your learning and accomplishments over years on handling your own boat repairs! I grew up on the water in southeastern VA, Chesapeake and Va Beach and Norfuck, when my boat or engine had a problem I had to figure it out on my own. And that when I was as an early teen. Even today I am hands with repairs at 67 years old. I dislike the idea of paying someone to do something that I can do! Hold on if I can pay someone to do something so I can have a martinee break they are on the job! But I am looking over their Shoulder to make sure it is done right! 😀🛫
Thanks Ed for this “good-bye” video (to your friends/shipmates & to the Bahamas), seems kinda sad but I understand where you’re coming from. I just happen to be watching the video around dinner time. Then when Lyn’s delicious macaroni-cheese dish popped up at 9:49, I immediately knew what I was going to have for my dinner. Can’t wait for your next video from the Keys.
A really nice episode. Beautiful videography with great music, and multiple Roger-Outs!! Woooooo! What a soft and sweet Roger-Out from Lyn @ 1:30 Other Roger-Outs @ 5:17, 15:16 and 16:45 And LOL... Lyn bum-flashing the camera @ 19:01! ROGER OUT!!
You guys, buy a freezer, vacuum pack your dinner portion of meat in a bag, a half side of beef can fit into a 5.0 cubic foot. Freeze until you plan on grilling it... throw it on deck for several hour to thaw. I get it, that the Carib is not big on steak.
U want to eat a cow and I want to see you on that 2 wheeler as hammered as you looked . 😅 you guys are doing an excellent job . ( from Ft Meyers) flying with a 121 operator that has gone chap 11 😂
I am so happy things went well this time. By the way, you have to create a new theme song, "Skelly at the Helm", What do you think? Cheers, Rik Spector
I really enjoyed watching your trip from Nassau to Chubb Cay to Bimini to Florida. I did the same thing in May going in the opposite direction. Returned from Nassau via Spanish Cay. I will be at the Annapolis Boat Show on Saturday. What restaurant/bar will you be at and at what time? My boat is in the boat show - a Cutwater 32.
If the marinas in the Bahamas don’t quit jacking up their dockage rates the average boaters will end up anchoring out a lot more of the time. This will eventually cost the marinas in lost revenue for their restaurants, bars, shops, and other businesses that serve their marina guests. This will then result in lost employment opportunities for locals. Only a small number of the marinas can accommodate the mega yacht crowd that can afford the cost.
Go online during winter, buy a spare starter, water pump, belts, fuel filters, oil filters, a fuel pump , just to keep aboard for spares, that's what I did
I have a sort of dumb question for you,. Regarding those super expensive docking fees. Is there some legal restriction or reason why you can't anchor out anywhere near that location?
Chub Cay provisions: little market there is often out of much in the way of fresh veggies, but if you go up to the main kitchen, the chef will provide a bunch...for a fee, of course...
prices at Bahamas ,especially the more popular spots has become out of control, makes people stay away , Bahamas have never been less popular ,IMO, was looking forward to walkers cay return , even carl Allen didn't want to deal with Bahamas . It's become a big money grab, I feel for the locals ,mostly great people ,poverty is bad and just getting worse .

We though about anchoring there. We would like to explore the sunken ship at some point.
Thanks for the dockage tips!!🥂

Yep! 😎
Thanks for the information on Chub. It makes more sense with the Idle Club discount. We always stay at Blue Water in Bimini. JR is the greatest!

We did! Thanks!
I'd take the slowest boat on the dock any day. You have one thing they don't, and that's comfort lol.

Not sure where we will be yet, but we will definitely post in real time on Facebook. We usually end up at Dry 85 at some point.
My son has CF so cudos to your fundraising paddle board cronies

So strange, with my Deja Vu acting up. Because I saw you receiving that shaft for your supercharger several weeks ago
Probably the video where I took it out, turned it around, and reinstalled the shaft.

Seacrest, next door to Blue Water. Great owners.
We have heard that as well.
I have a sort of dumb question for you,. Regarding those super expensive docking fees. Is there some legal restriction or reason why you can't anchor out anywhere near that location?
No, we are free to anchor nearby. We usually do anchor out in the Bahamas. We anchored in Bimini a few years ago, on the US side of the island.
@@tryingnottosink9107okay, thank you for the reply. That's good to know
Chub Cay provisions: little market there is often out of much in the way of fresh veggies, but if you go up to the main kitchen, the chef will provide a bunch...for a fee, of course...
We did n't even know they had a market.
I may be at boat show, heading out Erie canal tomorrow....wonder if I can,get a slip
I doubt it. Good luck!
I am sure you have mentioned it in your videos, but what year is Triton and how big is it?
1979 58MY, 65 foot LOA

Bananas!

@@tryingnottosink9107 When and where is first round?
It's not measured by speed. It's (Tons*Miles)/Gallon. (I'd bet your competitive.)
Probably!
Browns Marina I think is alot cheaper
It was $300 per night.
