These folks are living their best lives and letting us tag along to have a little fun. I like the name of their channel. It shows a sense of humor, humility and lack of ego, very much appreciated for these times.
I live in Orillia ontario, and used to have a 33 foot pacemaker on the Trent seven water way , I'm now living vicariously thur you two, your living my dream! Roger out !
I was working with a friend rehabbing the Target stores down there in Hilton Head and Savannah.. we spent a few days hanging out at the little outdoor bars at this last Marina! Such a good time! This is my life dream... to buy a boat for retirement and travel like this! Thanks so much for sharing! Great to be taken along!
I was traveling for a bit so I'm behind a couple of episodes.... So NICE to see a Roger Out @ 15:03!! Thank-you, Lynn! Yes, as awesome as Florida is, water beer seems to be the norm.... did I hear you say Le Fin du Monde? A favorite!
Traveling the ICW, east coast inlets and towns just like my wife, rip, and I have done couple of times. Good memories! Thanks for the post. Sailcatreality
Fernadina beach is beautiful, We have stayed at julie's aunt and uncles place in Yulee where they have a home on the water. You can see the paper mill that is by the marina where you two stayed from their dock. Another great video, thanks for sharing. Patrick
Nice to see what appears to be nice coastal/boater facilities there at Fernandina Beach aera. My recollection, about 20 years ago when we launched our 23' cruiser there, was that it was interesting but rather scruffy with the smell of the paper plant nearby. Your video sheds a nice light on the area as it is today! Look forward to revisiting that area in the future. Cheers!
We love Fernandina Marina. Be careful when eating outside at the Marina restaurant because the seagulls will dive down and grab your french fries! Next time check out Kings Bay Submarine base. We have a Hatteras 67 and love following you guys!
St Augustine Inlet is unstable and the marks are frequently moved. The inlet used to be down by the lighthouse but a hurricane created the current inlet many years ago. St Mary’s inlet depth is maintained for the sub base just North of the inlet. St Simons is a nice town which is close to the light house you passed on the way in the inlet. The channel you used into Hilton Head only recently was marked with buoys. The Harbor you were in we used to call the toilet bowl. You were close to high tide when you went in. As the tide goes out, it’s like someone flushed the toilet. We used to go there every year for July 4th.
We have been through those inlets many times. St. Augustine seems to be a little bit different every time we go through it. We have stopped at St. Simons marina several times but have never been to town.
Great addition to your videos. It appeared to be somewhat relaxing journey. Enjoyed watching you arrive at Harbor Town Marina. Always a fun place to visit. Looking forward to the next leg of your journey and your arrival at Southport NC 🏴☠🏴☠
You should had gone to town in St Simom island.. lively little town with bars, music and great restaurants... nice historical... 5 min Uber ride from the marina... 20 min bike ride
We've lived on Amelia Island for 10 years and after your post I went to PDQs bar. Maybe 5 years ago it was an alleyway with a clothing store attached and then more recently they converted the store part into a larger bar. Smart move. Today I went in for the first time and had the Fin du Monde Belgian tripel and I've never tasted another beer like it. Great little place. We also have a Hatteras -- a 56 wide body motoryacht. Hope to see you sometime.
We really enjoyed our stay there. Had we known what the town was like we would have planned for a longer stay. PDQs bad was definitely a great place to grab a beer and listen to live music. See you on the water!
My wife and I love Fernandina Beach. There are some really old beautiful homes just a block off the main street you were exploring, try and check them out on your next visit. At Christmas time in years past the town has a dog parade that is a lot of fun, not to mention how pretty the town looks. I live about a half an hour from Caribbean Jacks, it was great to see you wearing one of their T-shirts.
Next trip to Florida plan a side trip up (south) the St. John's river to Sanford on Lake Monroe. You'll find many local breweries and imported beers, a great night life and great things to see along the route.
Great video once again. St Simmon Island has a great bbq place across the street from the airport. I can't remember the name but it is across the street from the airport and the food is fantastic. Safe travels.
Next try Brunswick Landing. M-W-F happy hour in club house 30-50 attendees from people in the marina. Yoga, cardio and pickle ball. Great Hurricane hole. Music and restaurants short walk.
No. We have to run the generator when we need AC. We typically run it only at night. We have added a couple more lithium batteries for the upcoming trip but it most likely would still not be enough to run the AC long enough.
thank you for sharing your journey; living in FL now but moving to Hilton Head Island next year. How was your experience at Habour Town/Sea Pines, HHI?
Been watching your videos over the past year and was curious why your boat name says a it’s from St Thomas, but in your videos it seems like your from Philadelphia?
Don’t even tell me that fernardino is better than St. Aug! I’ve been an AuggieDoggie since ‘92. Have known a few people that visited on their boats and moved the whole family into a home here! Just playing, nardos isn’t bad, just not St. Aug.
I didn't say it was better, just that it was a great town. I prefer St Augustine, we always spend about a week there when we pass by, however my favorite is Key West.
Here in my country (New Zealand) the craft beer scene is getting bigger and bigger with availability in our supermarkets becoming better too.... I am curious as to what beers Captain Ed likes. I am fond of the "hazy IPA" style.
There is a big craft brew scene in the Philly area. I am more of a strong Belgium type of guy. St Bernardus, Delirium Tremens, Rogue Dead Guy, Chimay, are some of my favorites.
These folks are living their best lives and letting us tag along to have a little fun. I like the name of their channel. It shows a sense of humor, humility and lack of ego, very much appreciated for these times.
Thank you. That was very kind. Posts like yours makes it a lot easier to live through the trolls who find something to criticize in every video.
Thanks for letting me go on your adventures with you it always looks like a lot of fun 😄😎
You bet!
Good to see you sharing commentary, makes it more interesting to hear both partners. Lovely boat.
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for watching. It was a great marina to stop at. It was our dream as well. We planned for it for a long while until it became possible.
Always uplifting to watch you two enjoy life!
Thanks so much!

Yes, one of Ed's favorite beers. They had a great selection at that bar.
Great coffee cup and you look beautiful in red, well any color but red looks amazing on you.
Now I have to go watch the video to see who was wearing red, Lyn or Ed! 😁
Thanks for taking us along on your travels. Very fun, interesting video. Once again, your background music is awesome! Love the Channel…Ed
Thanks for watching. Not everyone likes our music but we pick what we like, and how our mood is at the time.

You can do it!
Whatta delightful video. Thanks again you guys

Thanks for the review on Fernandina, I'll have to remember it if I ever stop there.
Traveling the ICW, east coast inlets and towns just like my wife, rip, and I have done couple of times. Good memories! Thanks for the post. Sailcatreality
And is a very nice trip with lots of places to explore. Thanks for watching!
The best bits of America that I miss, NZ has very few places like this 👍
Love the twin screw dockside maneuvers! You are good at that. I want to play guitar in a bar by the beach!!
It took a while but I kind of have it down now.
great video, always liked hilton head marina
It was our first time there. We'll definitely stop there again.
Great set up your wife is a hard worker and a asset you guys have good communication.

Thanks for watching. We really love the town. It was very welcoming and we look forward to returning.
Seems to be a very comfortable boat for living on. Thanks for sharing.
It is! Thanks for watching.
Lots of good eating choices at waterfront in Beaufort, SC and in Port Royal. Beautiful areas.
We agree!
Excellent vids, keep them coming!
Digging on your music choices.
Thanks. Many more to come! Glad you like the music. We just pick what we like.
About to close on our first trawler. Hope to cross wakes sometime in the future. Sure have enjoyed your channel.
Congratulations. See you on the water!

Great music selections.
Thanks. We use what we enjoy, since it is impossible to please everyone.
You need to visit Fernandina when their having the shrimp festival really great food 😋, the Roger that gets old . Great video guys
Fernandina is one of our favorite ports!
Love these videos great to see a different side of the USA not just the big cities, all the best from the UK
Glad you like them!
We love Fernandina Marina. Be careful when eating outside at the Marina restaurant because the seagulls will dive down and grab your french fries! Next time check out Kings Bay Submarine base. We have a Hatteras 67 and love following you guys!
Thanks for the suggestion. We are posting a video tonight that features Fernandina.

You're welcome!
Great addition to your videos. It appeared to be somewhat relaxing journey. Enjoyed watching you arrive at Harbor Town Marina. Always a fun place to visit. Looking forward to the next leg of your journey and your arrival at Southport NC 🏴☠🏴☠
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a relaxing part of the trip. We couldn't ask for better waves, even if it did rain a bit.
You should had gone to town in St Simom island.. lively little town with bars, music and great restaurants... nice historical... 5 min Uber ride from the marina... 20 min bike ride
We will one of these days. It always seems we are in a hurry when we pass by.

@@tryingnottosink9107 Sorry I messed the name up. It's PJD's not PDQ. Anyway, totally agree with you about their beer and wine.

Next trip to Florida plan a side trip up (south) the St. John's river to Sanford on Lake Monroe. You'll find many local breweries and imported beers, a great night life and great things to see along the route.
We have thought about it, but it is a long way up, and we keep putting it off. Maybe next year.
Stabilizers! Like living in a following sea.
Great video once again. St Simmon Island has a great bbq place across the street from the airport. I can't remember the name but it is across the street from the airport and the food is fantastic. Safe travels.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video! We have yet to really explore St Simons.
Next try Brunswick Landing. M-W-F happy hour in club house 30-50 attendees from people in the marina. Yoga, cardio and pickle ball. Great Hurricane hole. Music and restaurants short walk.
Thanks for the tip. We have done St Simons a few times but never Brunswick.
Nice calm run.
Yes it was
Another great video !
Glad you enjoyed it!
A bit wet, but looks like you still had a great time. 2x👍
Fortunately, the rain never interfered with what we were doing.
Thanks for showing us how to do it. I suspect you folks will be up in Norfolk around mid-March?
No, we have been in Philly since August. We are slow at editing videos.
@@tryingnottosink9107 Got it. Missed you guys coming through Hampton Roads. Would like to meet up next time you come through.
I have forgotten what engines you have . Cat Or Detroit. Just a Jimmie lover . Also enjoy these videos and your travels. Say travels .
We have Detroit Diesel 8v92s. Overkill for the way we cruise.
Awesome
Thanks!
Hey guys! Love your channel. Quick question: when at anchor, do you have enough battery capacity to run the AC or do you have to run the generator?
No. We have to run the generator when we need AC. We typically run it only at night. We have added a couple more lithium batteries for the upcoming trip but it most likely would still not be enough to run the AC long enough.
Wow, how many olives were in that Martini?
Just need one!
thank you for sharing your journey; living in FL now but moving to Hilton Head Island next year. How was your experience at Habour Town/Sea Pines, HHI?
We enjoyed our stay there. If we had more time we would have explored more of the island. The marina was an easy in and out and very protected.
love to watch your video are you having problem whit your travel in covid
No, not really. Since we are both fully vaxed there were no testing requirements during our trip.
How much do you tip the dockhands?
Is so much oversteer really necessary? On the hard Ed
Nice info in this episode, Thanks. Who sings the "Something to hold on to" song? sounds a lot like Kasey Musgraves
Found it, Dreamlamp
Jesse Villa I believe.
I have noticed you throughout the videos when you’re steering you really are working the helm. hard
does that boat tend to drift a whole lot🤷♂️🤷♂️
It doesn't drift, but the ration on the upper helm is not right. It takes twice as much turn to move the boat when compared to the lower helm.
i'll be in Philly in spring maybe I could get permission to come aboard a minute?
We will leave for the south by April 29th.
What is your favorite marina for liveaboard in Florida? One that won’t break the bank thanks to
We don't live aboard so we don't really know. I think there are a few in the Keys, like Marathon.
Been watching your videos over the past year and was curious why your boat name says a it’s from St Thomas, but in your videos it seems like your from Philadelphia?
Our boat is Coast Guard Registered. Which means you can pick any US port as a home port. St Thomas is a US Territory.
Don’t even tell me that fernardino is better than St. Aug! I’ve been an AuggieDoggie since ‘92. Have known a few people that visited on their boats and moved the whole family into a home here!
Just playing, nardos isn’t bad, just not St. Aug.

Habortown had to be 4 bucks a foot. That place is expensive
I seem to recall it was about $3 per foot. Nice marina.
Does your African grey bird speak? 🦜🦜🦜
It knows more than 100 words. It can be taught a new word in about three days. It also does phrases in my voice and in Lyn's voice.
Boom!
Hey, that video is 24 minutes long!!!

Chimay Beer is the go to beer after doing your taxes.
One of my favorites!
