It's always amazing to see how calmly your mules act with the loader. They also take the planks very well, although these are laid down lengthwise, which makes them harder to maneuver, not across.
Ty sir! Yes the slabs laid longways tend to be a little harder to stay on, but laying em cross ways will generally just push out ahead of the wagon too. So it’s hard to say which is better. Happy easter to you and your family, your mules must be conditioning because you only stopped them once, just before where that guy was shooting you had a long hill, I was sure you were going to rest them, but they keep on pulling with ease, I'm watching the stomach just back of the ribs and they were not trying to pull in more air, another great video thanks for sharing.
Yessir they have picked up a little since we started this job. This wagon has been really good for them. They’ve learned to start a load a little easier, get down and grunt. And they’ve learned to get in the collar and stay with it a little better also. I credit that to the wagon no doubt. It’s heavy…but it once they get it moving it gets easier. Ty my friend! I am planning on starting them later on this summer. Probably July-Aug’ish. I’ll work em here at the house pulling tires and whatnot until they’re kinda on their way, then I’ll start taking em to the woods in the fall and pull smaller tie logs with em.
