@@Account-jo2vo one way I tried that really helped is, I sighed, and as I sighed i wld add vocals, and sing different notes, it kina helps you understand how a vibrato works and what it needs to come to life
I love how you combine theory with the actual exercises. It helps a lot to be able to understand what's going on inside your throat while singing. 😯 Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much for this. I used to love singing and (at age 68) am hoping to get it back a little. This first lesson was great! As I got to the higher notes, I could tell when I was doing it wrong. The bow analogy is very helpful.
I love your energy. There are other vocal coaches with channels like yours, but they don’t go as in-depth as you do. I love that I can literally do the entire exercise with you. Thank you, for your hard work to make these videos. I know it’s not easy to get us rookies to understand what you’re talking about. You did an amazing job explaining and demonstrating everything. You got a new subscriber, and I will definitely keep coming back.
I like how Madeleine find common patterns in things to make us easier to understand how to sing :) Bow straining, larynx muscle being shaky when starting to build on vocal strength as similar as our muscle gonna be shaky when we are building our muscle at the beginning time. Love it! 💚
I have to say that your channel is the ONLY one out here that actually has a content that I UNDERSTAND, and you explain like a real vocal coach should for an audience of all sorts, it’s understandable for newbies as well as the ones who have been doing it for awhile and so on. Keep up the good work, you helped me out so much you have no idea, especially all the lessons on registers because for me at least it was the hardest thing to understand cause I just have trouble with umm feeling my body so voice as well, but you made it so simple, so useful. Thank you, thank you !!!
Thank you for this lesson I really enjoyed it I found where my voice needs strengthing and I will continue to work on it and I love how your so gentle with telling us it's ok if it doesn't sound good or if our voice cracks it made me feel super comfortable I been singing for years but I noticed over time I can't hit some notes that I used to from having so much damage to my vocal cords
Hey..hey..hey...I have to just comment and say wow to your half sleeve tattoo..👍 looks great on you...( Not in a wierd way) just an observation...also your vocals are pretty amazing too..I mean great upload for those on the vocal journey in their life's. 👏..be safe and keep healthy ♥️
Isn't u are sooooo beautiful with beautiful voice 😳🥺❤❤❤ wowwww masha Allah ❤❤ love u mam and love ur vocal exercise...... and yaeee I m LEARNING many things from ur channel and i m from india❤💜
Thank you for this video! I work at customer care and after a few minutes talking I get a sore throat feeling or when I teach I get the same feeling. I need to drink water constantly. Maybe I'm using my voice the wrong way, I don't know. Could this exercise help me with this problem or do you have other recommendations?
Definitely yes. About two years ago I started strengthening my voice by means of a similar exercise, and it helped a lot. Even during winter, I could talk for more than an hour without coughing or feeling sore in the throat.
@@Ebubekir_ I read Gary Catona's book on Voice Building, i.e. muscle training for the voice, where he describes a basic exercise based on slides like Madelaine 's exercise. The main difference is that there is no rule for the lowest and the highest note. You start at some note, slide up, stay there a bit and slide down, holding the low note for a bit. Like in Madelaine 's video, the crucial point is the yawning sensation. All through the sliding up and down, you would try to go even deeper into the yawn (lowering the larynx) and in addition increase the volume. The hardest version is when you keep the tension on the muscles, i.e. the yawn, during breathing in between the repetitions. But keep in mind that this is muscle training and should not be overdone. Like all muscle training, it could leave you with post-exercise muscle soreness. Gary Catona also advocates doing the exercise on different vowels in order to enhance your enunciation, which also depends on the strength of the voice muscles. There are a couple of videos on RUclips where he either demonstrates it himself in an Interview or does voice training with Aubrey Logan. In these clips you can easily see the close connection to Madelaine's exercise.
@@friedemannkemm63 Thank you for taking your time and give an extensive answer, I really appreciate it. I will begin to do the exercises, I talk for hours at call center and get really sore throat.
@@Ebubekir_ Best of luck to you, and awesome that you care enough to take care of your voice! It is very important and strengthening your vocal muscles is just like working any other muscle in your body. Continue to drink lots of water (perhaps "jazz it up" a little with some lemon and cucumber. I've always heard that taking a "spoonful" of honey straight down the throat is helpful too...oh, and if you can take the time, lean over a bowl of hot water (towel over your head) to take in the steam. Helps with sinus/nasal lubrication. :)
Help! I smoked some cigarettes (less than a pack) for the first time in my life out of curiosity, but when I got home to sing, my mixed voice was gone....it was very airy and dry...can you make a video on how to get it back (specifically for people who've smoked)?? I love singing so much and this would honestly mean the world to me😭😭
Hey Madeleine! Thanks for the amazing video. I got a question: Can people send samples of their voice so that you can help them find their weakness/strength?
Escalation of Voweh Ah Oh ? , Nice Vocal Exersice for tension of wide Ahh , u can put some vibrato but it may be opera become phanth of the Opera on Falseto
I feel like I should be paying for these lessons because I actually have a vibrato I can hold when I sing now
