Sadly it won't let me unpause the device, it shows it's paused, but the unpause will not work on my app?

You can do this by changing your WiFi network password, which will boot all the devices from the network, allowing only those with the updated password to connect.

So if you are paused, is it true that a vpn will make it so that it obstructs that pause and continues to work as if it was unpaused?

Any method that changes the devices MAC address would be able to get around the pause. You could probably do this with a VPN. The best way to really remove devices is to change the WiFi password, or upgrade to a 3rd party router with more control.

It was added in a recent app update. You can check to see if there is an update available in the App Store. Otherwise, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the app to make it update.

You might need to manually update the app version. Also, be sure you are locally connected to your Starlink Wifi network, and signed in to your Starlink account in the app.
