This is by far the best Tomb raider game I have played. It's mindblowing how they have created complex puzzles. Amazing graphics and gameplay. Thanks to Eidos and crystal dynamics. People who are fans of the old Tomb raider series may not completely like the reboot series because Lara's character is vulnerable instead of being badass. But this being Lara's origin story, her survival characteristics are totally justified. I like how Lara battles nature, animals, solves puzzles and sometimes has shootouts with enemies, there are panic/escape sequences, underwater sequences. It has a bit of everything as opposed to certain third person shooter games in which combat is the major component of these games.

No, they already confirmed that she won't use twin-pistols because they don't want to imitate the old games and in this trilogy the bow replaces her pistols.
What a pity, I like the older games better (although the new ones are quite good, too).

I just finished playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, and I didn't realize that Jonah, the character from the second game, is the same character from the first one. In the first game, he had a closer resemblance to a Mexican or New Zealand as the wiki says, whereas in the second game, he appeared to be black, which reminded me of Brian Tyree Henry. I thought he was a different character that was just introduced in the second game because his first appearance didn't have much of an impact and he was more like a background character. However, in the third game, he somehow went back to a similar appearance in the first one as the game is now tackling Aztec themes it seems .
I've also noticed that Lara Croft looks different in each game, not just because she looks older with each installation, but also because she seems like a slightly different person. Anyway, I enjoyed playing the first two games, and I'm sure that the third one won't disappoint me. I just wanted to share my shock regarding Jonah's character .
Ive played the first reboot, love it. I need to finish rise of the tomb raider but so far its a great sequel. Im sure the third game will kick ass as well.

legendary lunatic97 man I just ended rise of the tomb raider a couple of days back. You HAVE to play it. Amaaaasing game. I rank it almost as high as uncharted 4! Could believe how good the game, the graphics, the story and the overall art design and gameplay was!
ROTR Gets really good towards the end. Baba Yaga DLC wasn't that interesting to me...its story was predictable....still it was ok. I found Blood Ties DLC interesting even though it didn't had any action....gives more depth to Lara & her parent's character.
Dheeraj Sudhakar Im not sure if i like ROTR better than the first quite yet, it at least matches it but the gritty feeling of Lara first experiencing killing a person, the brutality of the island and its elements, and just the setpieces were fantastic. I still am having a blast with the sequel tho 👍

It's amazing and worth a replay. I'm currently doing a new game+ after beating the first playthrough and it's still exciting.
My only complain is that the game needs more combat, more humanoid enemy like ROTR.
Worth noting that it's kinda weird that there's no apex predator in the water apart from the funny moray eels and piranha, despite the south american jungle set up. Shouldn't there be alligators, anacondas? Anyway it's better off with these motherfuckers truth be told lol, otherwise most players won't dare jumping into the water as the game is mostly around flooded temples and caves. Imagine diving in the dark deep water to check on some loot boxes suddenly a friendly giant snake rushing into you for a tight welcome lol. I gotta give kudos to those who decided not to add those fuckers into the water.

The Witcher 3 is my favorite game ever, and I think it's one of the best looking game also. But let's not fools ourselves here, Uncharted is on another level. No one can make a game as pretty as Naughty Dog does.

For all those people criticizing her muscles, she had a huge training course outside of her mansion in Tomb Raider 2 if I remember correctly. Lara has always been the type of woman who works out and trains hard so it’s only natural for her to be buff.
Looks pretty damn epic. I loved the direction the new "Tomb Raider" games have been going, and this game is looking to be pretty damn amazing.

2023 and bought the entire Survivor trilogy reboot. I adore 3 equally. The TR2013 is however the Holy Grail that opened up for Rise, Shadow.

I thought this looked way better graphically to the point where I thought it was a CG trailer and didn't realize it was actual gameplay.
I love how everyone is arguing about the graphics... this is a Early Trailer (looks still awsome) and they still work on it and besides that... i would and love to play Lara even when she looks like 1996. It does look indeed kinda weird, but I guess they had to stay within the deadline for E3 and didn't quite finish this trailer. The screenshots they released earlier look even better than Rise, so I guess they were just pushed to meet the deadline.

This does not look like an 8th Gen game. The graphics doesn't look as good as Rise of the Tomb Radier. I was hoping it would look even better but oh well. Seems like it will be a great game though, can't wait for it!

Meh. Looks like it'll be a fun game like the other two, but it also looks like it'll be basically identical to them as well. Rise was way too similar to the 2013 reboot for my liking, and it doesn't seem like this will be much different. Still, I'll probably get it when it goes on sale. I loved the music though.
It's almost like developers build on the foundation of the game they already had when making a sequel, adding a few new mechanics and improving existing mechanics rather than making an entirely different game maybe because fans don't want an entirely different game, we want an improved version of the last game. It's called a sequel......

Yeah. I love the choice of soundtrack they chosen for the trailer. We got I Shall Rise by Karen O for Rise and Speak Loud by TRILLS for Shadow. Both are awesome and I would never know them if not by these trailers.

Why they insist in not adding the dual pistols? The bow made sense on the first game, but not anymore.
Tomb Raider but i prefer the dual pistols but the bow is still really awesome because it makes me feel like green arrow when i quickly snipe the enemies with the bow.(even tho green arrow doesn‘t kill)

Again tombs will be "improved" as they were the last chapter (aka even more scripted qta and very basic pull-the-right-lever sequences) while in reality 80% will be again killing stuff like 3rd person cod. Nah, Tomb Raider died with Underworld..
The whole thing of Tomb Raider is survival i get it, but the girls panics and scream and breath heavily for litterally anything all the time while since the very start kills like a SAS operator.

Wow this game looks even more amazing than the previous ones. I am so happy that finally, Lara has a realistic look and body built. I love those arms and how they have designed her body in the realistic way it should be. All that focus on booty and stuff were so unrealistic it made me roll my eyes in the older games. But now, she looks how a survivor and a fighter looks like. I hope it will be a great game once it is finished.
I know this franchise will keep changing but I still like the old Lara better. Hopefully they’re going to build a bridge to her old design and then continue to improve it from there.
