He's talking about Alfred W. McCoy's work on the Opium Trade. This is pretty accurate. There's even more to the story about the 1960's and 1970. Douglas Valentine is another good historian on this subject. Very accurate with the Corsicans. And their is much more going back to the 1930's with the French Colonialists because we found a Vietnamese licensing system the French put into the government in the 1930's for the rickshaw pullers and we find ourself with Corsicans and General Edward Landsdale in 1957. They put a bullet through Gen. Edward Landsdale's limo on his way into Saigon. Landsdale had to meet with Corsican leadership to have the CIA stay. They were killing our CIA men in Vietnam in 57'. He made a deal with the Corsicans hands off the heroin trade. When JFK pulled the CIA out of Vietnam, someone from the French and American side came out of Vietnam to hit Kennedy and his associates killed Diem too. Nobody knows who they were. Some guys who were Corsicans, maybe they served in the OSS after WWII OSS Detachment 101 were all American, French and Vietnamese speaking people. They were recruited and some of them were mobsters who were moving it since 1930. All the Corsican guys were Special Forces. They could all do what the shooter in front of JFK did. Make a hollow point bullet and fire it from a forward position. He was ushered to a military base and in 17 minutes he was in the air. This guy may have served time in jail under the Japanese and was a "SAVE THE COLONIES" French stereotype you see in "Apocalypse Now".
Tony Corruption connection has a good thing going but Tony please do not ever refer to 'The Hill' or Parsons as the hood. Only because for some of us who actually know and grew up back and fourth from the downtown Flushing area (Colden Houses) and the Spaghetti Park, where known Guys from the Hill would come through. The Hill always resembled a well kept small long island community, please do not ever refer to it as the Hood. You can't purchase any home in that area for under 1 million. FYI, A neighborhood with some tough kids in it does not equal 'The Hood'. I always knew a bunch of tough Guys from that area 'The Hill' from from hanging around the Tough guys at Spaghetti Park, going to Queens college, house party's.

The fact they can't afford to put cameras in each train car is shocking. I suspect you could kit out a train with 10 cars with individual HD cameras for $100 easily. The technology is cheap and does not need to be monitored, only when a crime is reported. Something like the dash cams seen on the roads.
As an engineer and conductor for the railroad the people who step in front of trains and subway cars to commit suicide are chicken shit cowards. I work for transit and this guy is absolutely right about the subways, people get pushed in front of the trains everyday that's why when they say crime is down in NYC I know it's a lie
That’s completely untrue that it happens everyday
@@tomb6670 do you work for transit or are you a police officer?
@@ANGRY_BUS_DRIVER transit police like the guy being interviewed
Tony said every incident of a train collision is investigated. Unless this is untrue, how can this example support your point?
You don’t work for transit or you’re just lying about the subway. Ppl do NOT get pushed on tracks everyday. What a stupid comment
The profanity censoring ruins the conversation flow, seriously you gotta censor “shit”? Yous are talking about flying bodyparts and drugs..
I think he censored the curses to gain more traction in YT algorithm. But I agree it's annoying AF
Not really feeling the comments about " Black Kids" , won't be supporting this channel.
You just pick and choose huh. What that he said was not accurate? Sucks to hear the truth huh?

I am planning on leaving this time never come back this is not the city I was born and raised in and my parents born and raised here in the late 30s and now it is so unfathomable sad. This city has become a undesirable place
I hear you @BarefootBrotherDrive. I left for the West Coast for 2 years. I'm now regretting coming back to NY. I'm definitely going back too the West Coast. Just feel like I can't get no where here. It's not the same as it once was.

Loved this episode. He could totally be an actor in big movies
Good interview despite all the "black kid" references by the interviewer.
With all of the podcasts that we have out here and social media, this podcast stands out above many of them, most of them. I get hooked every time I watch one. I only been a sub for less than a year. it’s pretty cool. Congratulations brother on your success.
Wow what a great interview I’m blown away at how interesting it was I could’ve listen to another 2-3 hours easily..🤯🙌🏼💯🔥
Great episode. Lots of history and background on a lot of aspects of NYC. Solid interview. Definitely going to check his channel out!

Great interview, love tuning it! You do great work, really enjoy all the tough questions you ask!!
As an engineer and conductor for the railroad the people who step in front of trains and subway cars to commit suicide are chicken shit cowards. There are people in the front operating the trains and subway cars that witness the whole thing and now are part of it. We don’t want that image ingrained in our memory. I know a few people who stepped away from a $150000 job because of hitting someone
To many Puerto Ricans and Dominicans that wont take the Venezuelan gang thing.
