totally a masterpiece, the OST (Kenichiro Fukui ) is really absurd beyond brilliant, you can get sealed brand new copies in Shinjuku Tokyo/Akihabara ($100/125 ) 10 mins from my home...I still play it every couple of months. thanks for the vid Brotha 👊🏻.
Whenever I played this one on the demo disc as a kid it always creeped me out. Something about the opera singing with the sirens, breakcore, nighttime aesthetics, and the skeleton lady on the billboard made it feel cold and unwelcoming (in a good way)
This game has been in the back of my mind for the past 16 years. I've tried to explain it to ppl and search for it with no luck. It's been driving me crazy. For years. That finally changed today. Thank you for uploading
YESSSSSSS! I played the fuck out of this and hotshots golf on that demo! I only wish I could afford to buy the full game now! It’s like $200 on eBay...
As a kid I never understood the buttons and why sometimes I’d have a different gun but GAAWLEEE this game was fun especially that first boss. It felt so epic facing off against this machine and the music just made it 20x better
Man I can’t believe I lost this game I used to play it everyday after school as a kid. If I knew the game was gonna be $200 20 years later I would have bought them out lol
Jeez what a through back to the 90s, what a game and what a hard game to clock this took some skill and patience, well done to any one who clocked this game.
Holy fuckin nostalgia. That chicks laugh just brought me back to my childhood. I’ve been searching for this locked piece of memory for so long. Throwback to early 2000s
The height of Square's greatness. They were innovating at every level and at all game types. All they did was churn out S-level original IP's, many which they have never revisited again. Nothing comes close to what they did in the 90s.
Back when EVERY game Squaresoft made were AMAZING!! You didn't even need trailers or reviews... if Squaresoft made it you knew it was one of the Best games out there.
I played this when I was 5 years old at my friend’s house on his ps1 and was hooked for hours. I remember thinking it was the best think ever invented! The graphics looked 4k to us at that time. I was never able to find this game again after this and I was searching for years. This was 22 years ago! Here I am 22 years later sitting in bed and for whatever reason the sentence “what was that ps1 game called?” Pops into my head randomly. I stumble upon this video and relive this game 22 years later

I never knew this scary sound in the beginning was actually sirens. Funny how as we grow up, we start understand things. I like to see this old games and being able to understand what I wasn't when I was a kid
I’m pretty surprised they haven’t done that yet, with all the Final Fantasy remakes which come out every 2 weeks. I suppose Einehander is a more rarified game, it didn’t even get a release on PAL over here in the U.K. but still SHMUPS have hit the mainstream more in the last couple of years. Looks like I’ll have to stick with my trusty Japanese copy!
@@Dessan01 lack of market I assume. Shooters were already dying by the time this came out back in the day, and they haven't really made a resurgence except in indie circles.

That is really strange i would love to see where the original sound audio for the laugh track came from. Because i watched the netflix and the laugh seems so out of place. Maybe its stock audio hmm.
I'd bet that the staff that made this awesome shmup are no longer with Square Enix, IIRC shmup designers are a highly specialized bunch@@BraindeadEntertainment
It's so weird because my memories tell me that this looked so much more realistic when I was younger. And for some reason I thought you played as a helicopter? Guess that's just what happens when modern technology gets so good. XD
This isn't on original PS is it? It is so high resolution. Great gameplay btw! May I ask what you are doing to make it so high resolution?? I'd love to be able to make it look like that for me. Thanks man
I remember playing this as a demo on the ps1 underground disc as a kid and thinking to myself "this is the future"
Same here
Wow same.
Weird to see the entire demo part played through in like 3 minutes, as a child it took and probably like felt so much longer
Yep mine had metal gear solid on it too. I recently bought einhander for $65 for ps1

One of the greatest side scrolling shooters of all time. Completely epic soundtrack with excellent graphics and gameplay.
I totally agree. I'm surfing the Internet now for some great PS1 SHMUPS to install on my PS3. This is one I have on my PS2 and it's amazing!
