There's a guy over on the right of the picture who is an ace dancer - black and white striped top. Not trying to cram 100 moves into 3 minutes...tight stomper and footwork to The Champion...he's an older head.

If you watch the older people dance - the ones who went to the Wheel, Torch and the Casino in the early days - they dance in a totally different way to what people danced from 77 onwards. To me they concentrate more on their feet and less on the silly acrobatics that seemed to take other from that day forward. The young kids who are coming onto the scene today just don't seem to have that footwork and expressiveness that we had when dancing.

I do like the girls dancing in pink - what an ace spinner! And she proper throws her self round the floor. She reminds me of a girl from Darlington called Jacky who was one of the best dancers at the Casino (around 76/77)
although she was a big lass!

the older people dont dance like that because they cant remember these records-time e.starr there was a time.j brown.chandler.and funky street.were gauranteed acrobatics on a full dancefloor when i was a kid in manchester live and let live these young guns are part and parcel what makes the scene what it is all you victor meldrews can dance ballroom .you no doubt will find something to moan about that

Well, i just watched this and i guess its changed a lot since the days of being on point. In this , particularly on the last tune, they are just dropping acro in all the wrong places and off the break, in fact in no place that responds to the music. Only Trickster goes for the right break. Also, why such crap dated tunes and why don't people develop their moves as we did, it was never a static form, but now it seems younger dancers are learning from their dads or something and bringing nothing new to the floor...GO for it, incorporate whats known and around NOW...360's, L kicks, i was sticking that in in the late 80's early 90's and people took it on. What now? Don't keep it historical and static.
