He was famous, but not this famous. Deadpool definitely propped him to being an A-tier actor. Prior to it, his most famous movies were probably like the proposal outside of comic book movies which were not as big yet
The first time I remember seeing Ryan Reynolds was in Blade Trinity. I had also heard of Van Wilder before, but am not really into that kind of movie. And, although Green Lantern "flopped", I don't think it was down to Ryan's acting. So, yeah, I think he was pretty well known before Deadpool - I also remember thinking, before I watched the Deadpool movie, that he would be a good fit for the part of "the merc with a mouth". (Sorry I have been with my hubby for 34 years, and he was a serious Comic Fan Man before it became acceptable 😆 - naturally I have become a Comic Fan Gal in that time! No disrespect to Margo Robbie, but I am still awaiting the same kind of perfect casting for Harlequin) xxx

Unfortunately, that rendition was a travesty - though, again, this was not down to Ryan's acting, but how the script portrayed him. I believe that someone advised him to accept this, and wait for the right time to do his own rendition - and we all know which one is the best!
3:50 - LOL at this guy saying it was miscontrued as if he didn't very clearly say Ryan changed after gaining fame and he wouldn't want to work with him even for twice the price. Made yaself pretty clear there bud
Didn't Ryan Reynolds say he wouldn't work with him again first. I may be wrong, and I certainly don't want to cast aspersions where they are not warranted, but wasn't T. J. Miller accused of some sort of sexual misconduct? It was just after these rumours/accusations came out that I heard that Ryan didn't want to act alongside him again. If anyone knows more about this, I am happy to be corrected, or clarified on what I perceived to have happened. xxx

I think T.J. Miller has a long history of fighting with co-stars, so he's probably to blame for it quite a bit..
