I have xr18 mixer and I want to add a plugin in it for example like an audio is playing in channel number 2 and I give signal in channel number 5 then the audio of channel number 2 should automatically decrease gradually and when I remove the signal from channel number 5, then the audio on channel number 2 automatically increases gradually. I have seen it in many live venues but don't know how to do that can you tell me please .
Put a compressor on channel 2 in sidechain mode, sidechain it to channel 5. The audio volume of channel 2 ducks whenever there is signal past a certain treshold on channel 5
