Those are very cool. Would love to run across a metric USA set. I always liked Armstrong tools. Didn't know they were part of Danaher. I don't have any Armstrong anymore, except for one 8" adjustable wrench that someone "fixed" with a mismatched adjusting screw. It makes it feel like a cheaper wrench. I'd like to find the correct one. I've got a toolbox just for cheaper or slightly damaged tools, and it's just been sitting in there for a while now.
Thanks! Same here, hunting for the metric version now. Yes Danaher purchased Armstrong back in 1994, then Armstrong merged with Cooper to form Apex Tools in 2010 (under Danaher ownership still) until 2013 when Danaher sold them to Bain Capital (beginning of the end unfortunately). Thanks again for watching!
Danaher was the manufacturer for all of these style wrenches. Even the overseas ones which was when Apex tool group bought them out and discontinued Armstrong tool to have gearwrench as the main line.
Sometimes, the Sears packaging on the later editions would actually have the patent number which you could reverse and find out who was holding the patent. I have a pair of Craftsman locking pliers that have a patent number on the package and when you reverse that it comes back to Petersen-DeWitt. Sometimes it's obvious who was making them for Sears other times the patent seals the deal and really tells you who made them. In this case they have the V and up inverted V, which of course means that Danaher was the manufacturer.
@@rcmodder thanks for sharing, didn’t know that. Looks like they were called Kobalt Cross Form wrenches. Not sure if they ever made them in the USA though, unfortunately. toolguyd.com/kobalt-crossform-wrench-sets/
2:15... it's not uncommon..I've gotten plenty of tools that were packaged like this.. I've got Armstrong Tools that have that roll...excellent roll...👍
Thanks! Yeah I was thinking about it some more, if singles were available, perhaps it made most sense to package like this, to making picking orders easier.
Never ever seen wrenches like this before pretty nice Set💯 👌 would love a set

Nice tip on looking for the patent number on the packaging! Thanks for watching 👍
@@CarolinaAbbeyTools It surely works.
I think Kobalt had a similar wrench design once long ago. Very Interesting tools
