Will this kit work with different makes of travel trailers?

It will. The lift kit isn't travel trailer specific, but it is specific to Dexter Torflex # 10 axles, except for those with the 3 inch tall high profile mounting brackets.

Can the axle alignment be affected?

We have not had any issues with this affecting the alignment of the camper. If you find that you have uneven tire wear or that you see the trailer is trailing crooked behind the tow vehicle, you should have a RV technician take a look at it.
