I use to fish, party and jump off that bridge. In the early 80s they use to land planes on the road right on the other side of the bridge. It was easy to see from the air with car lights shining on it at night. If you walk about 300 yards from the bridge going away from where you parked, there is a burned out VW bus that was lit on fire while the hippy kid was in just cause he was camped there when a plane landed,(that is what I was told anyhow dont know how true it is). Groupers in the holes in the walls up and down that channel if you want to have some fun while the water is ripping through there.
Car #1: XJ100 Cherokee. Well, the windshield angle and upper door frames look more like that than 80s GM B-body. 7:27 looks like a '70-'71 Pontiac Polycast wheel, seen on Goats and Firebirds.
You know if you could fish out some of those vehicles , they could be used in exhibits of the underwater world ,maybe a collaboration with environmental organizations because some of us might never get a chance to see it in person, and there is just something enchanting and disturbingly real as to the trash we throw that the waters claim
1984 CR500 great condition, only 80 hours of riding with a little rust here and there. Runs great, piston and oil in good condition with frequent changes. $3450
I don't really know why but the scenes with the camera half in water and half above the surface are very satisfying. Keep up with your good work, always really nice to watch!
If you havent already. You should dive at hag lake in oregon near forest grove. Its man made lake and there is rumors not all of the buildings got torn down so there might bw some buildings.

Wow, I would love to go diving like this but I get anxiety just watching the videos (I have a fear of being underwater 😓 and what is odd is that I have a thing for scuba divers...). But anyhoo, the 7:30 mark, the wheel that is sticking up is an early 70s Pontiac "Honeycomb". Those cars and cycles definitely been there for decades. Definitely some muscle cars in that batch, that wheel is probably on a super rare 1970-72 Trans Am or a 1973-74 Super Duty Trans Am.
The tire at 4:43 is what appears to be a firestone or Hoosier drag radial/slick so my guess is it might’ve been some sort of hot rod at one point in time. That or the owner had another car and was just moving tires or something
Lake Murray, South Carolina. Once, the largest man-made lake in the U.S. it is built over an entire city and a war plane was recently recovered and sent to a museum. I’ve been living on this lake all of my life and I’ve heard the stories of the city below, but there isn’t any scuba video of it!
Back in the 60s and 70s when cars were considered "junk" alot of people pushed them into ravines or rivers to dispose of them. Or they were used for erosion control and many river banks are full of stacked cars.
My detecting adventures are on land not in a unlike the Cracking underwater car park you found. Although you have a good point, im pretty sure there are stories of divers getting the shells and dying on their way back up because the needle penetrated their diving gear
@@lexinator0000 Hmm, I actually did some digging into it, and cone snails (While they are native to Florida!) Actually prefer deeper waters, and the snail likely wasn't a cone. Cone snails are less bulky, and have more of a porcelain-esc pattern. I'll do more research, though, in case I might be wrong.
If possible you should go back with a bristle brush and see if you can identify the VIN on any cars, report their location to authorities and close some cases. They're likely hurricane losses.
It is because there is a racetrack that used to be there jut down the way. It was used in the 70s-80s and the cars that crashed or were left behind were put there.
There's another former bridge further down that road or accessible from further up Sugarloaf Key. Apparently, it burnt down, hence the name Burnt Bridge. I lived a couple miles down that road and always wondered what is under burnt bridge! Cool video from my former home!
I love your channel Jake! Have you thought about scuba diving in Hawaii? I am a scuba instructor in Kona, Big Island. If you want to explore the island, I would love to show you around and take you diving, I can get you tanks + gear. Lots of cool stuff to see, Manta rays, tiger sharks, white reef shark, eagle rays, frogfish...
Has anyone researched disasters in that area? Perhaps a flood or a bridge collapse. could have happened a loong time ago. After our flood in TN there were cars piled up in odd places when the water went down. Folks that tried to drive through it and got swept off of roads and bridges. And PSA Y'all. If you're going to jump off bridges feet first make sure you're 100% sure it's deep enough. People drown because of "plugging" all time time and it's a bad way to go. It's basically when you get wedged into the river bed up to the knees and become trapped.
Ana King I just went to Bryson city and rode the train and we went over a bridge and there was cars piled up on the bank for what people said to hold up the ground and use it as a shield so it don’t wash away
It is because there is a racetrack that used to be there jut down the way. It was used in the 70s-80s and the cars that crashed or were left behind were put there. I live there and its deep enough and not too strong of a current
