- A long-tone study similar to the popular DOW #2, but structured to help put focus and center in your tone. This explores multiple registers but is always visiting the middle octaves as a way to "remind" your ear what type of focus you should be listening for when playing in all registers...but especially the "cash register".

Hey Chris. Merry Christmas and thanks so much for posting these drills. They really are a treat-and-a-half. Can't wait to give this one a go!
Keep em coming Chris! Very helpful, inspirational to all
hey Chris i am Tyler and i am a music education major at the University of North Carolina Greensboro and i am a big fan of all the drills you release to work on various aspects of my playing. a lot of which made it into my everyday warm-up routine. i was wondering if you ever if you ever considered writing a book with all these exercises in them. this would be something i would be very interested in owning if it were ever a think. thanks -Tyler
How well do you think these drills would work on bass trombone?
A number of bass trombonists I know use them all the time.
This great! But my biggest problem with this exercise isn't the flexibility, but the air -- I always run out of air before finishing a slur, any advice for that? Will it ruin the drill if I break up the slur and take a breath in the middle?
Breathe as needed, but keep trying to extend your ability to play it in one breath
Is there any sheet music for these drills of the week
He and a few people close to him are working on typesetting the drills. I believe his video for drill #19 goes into detail about his plans for this. 8)
Working on that! Merry Christmas!
