    A mass of 1.5 kg rests on a horizontal table and is attached to one end of a spring of spring constant 150 N mł. The other end of the spring is moved in the horizontal direction according to x = a cos omega t where a = 5 x 10-3 m and omega = 6π rad s 1. The damping constant b = 3.0 N m-'s. Determine the amplitude. Show that if the applied frequency were adjusted for resonance, the mass would oscillate with an amplitude of approximately 2.5 x 10-2 m.

    There can be TWO CASES as the Incident light (which gives sensation of purple colour in brain) can be of TWO types-
    One is the emw of only one wavelength of purple colour
    And the other is mixture of two different emw of different wavelengths (of blue and red). This also gives sensation of purple colour in brain.
    When the former is passed through prism, there is NO SPLITTING. But when latter is passed through prism, it SPLITS into blue and red colours.

    • @nambi045
      @nambi045 2 года назад +2

      i got your answer...but when we mix blue and red then this time we are not mixing wavelengths, we are acctually mixing chemicals which reflect the light of any wavelength in purple color light of wavelength 390nm ...so first we cannot prepare a purple colour wavelength by just adding two chemical colours....it is just that the new formed chemical reflect a light of wavelength of purple colour which is 390nm....so on refraction through prism it will not split

    • @rohit.individuals
      @rohit.individuals 2 года назад

      @@nambi045 thanks for seeing my answer.....but I think you didn't get my point......
      Let, we have two laser lights one is blue (with wavelength corresponding to blue colour) and other red (with wavelength of red)( both are monochromatic)
      When we mix these lights we get a mix of these lights whose beam will have em waves of both wavelengths (there will be no intermixing of wavelengths but our eye will see it as purple colour).
      Now when we pass it through prism it will split into its components i.e. blue and red (due to difference in wavelengths)
      Now if we take a laser of purple colour, it will emit emw of only one wavelength corresponding to purple colour. As it will have only one component, by passing through prism, its beam will deviate but not split...
      Hope you would get my point!!!🙂

    • @technicalworld8113
      @technicalworld8113 2 года назад +2

      @@rohit.individuals You cannot mix two laser lights. Both light rays will be different and their wavelengths will be different, wavelength of light rays will not mix thats why they will refract at different angles, but u cant say that this is dispersion. because there are two light rays which are refracting individually , and not any component of light is breaking. there are 2 light rays with 2 different wavelength and therefore refracting with different angles. thats all

    • @rohit.individuals
      @rohit.individuals 2 года назад

      @@technicalworld8113 I will be dispersion!!!
      If not, then you can't say that sun light undergoes dispersion as according to you, it is mix of many lights (many wavelengths) and all lights will refract individually......But this is not True.
      Any light which undergoes dispersion is a mix of 2 or more em waves with different frequencies and wavelengths.....

    • @rohit.individuals
      @rohit.individuals 2 года назад

      @@technicalworld8113 ek mix of light me alag alag wavelengths ka alag alag refraction hona hi toh dispersion hai!!!
      Yeh mix 2 light ka bhi ho sakta hai...red or blue....or brain me components individually nhi dikhta, yeh mix purple dikhega or dispersion bhi karega....
      Or second case hai jisme monochromatic purple light hoga with only one wavelength...no dispersion. Yeh sir ne video me bataya hai!!!

    Dispersion only happens when a polychromatic light goes from one medium to another medium because of more than 1 wavelengths which the light constitute. Because the refractive index for different wavelengths is different also in same medium, that's why white light disperses into VIBGYOR. But when a monochromatic light (means the light which constitutes of only one wavelength) goes from one medium to another medium then there will be no dispersion because the light will have waves of only one refractive index.

    When white light passes through a glass prism, it splits into the seven constituents of light ( VIBGYOR) so both the primary as well as secondary colours appear except cyan and magneta. Since the refractive index of different colours are different in a particular media so they deviate with different angles

    • @DhirajKumar-rx8hi
      @DhirajKumar-rx8hi 2 года назад

      Bro
      Diamond is also same .
      Diamond Very Good Conductor of Heat But Very Bad conductor of Electricity.
      Reason For Diamond :
      Bad Conductor of Electricity : Because there is No Free Electron as all the valence electrons are used in sp³ hybridization covalent bonding.
      Now
      Good Conductor of Heat : Because of Vibration produced by the rigid atomic structure of the diamond thats phonone Vibration. The Heat wave is carried out and hence Diamond conducts heat.
      Similar reason is for the Mica.
