  • To this point in our “Where Are You God?” study, Habakkuk poured his heart out to God during massive societal decline and sin and asked if God was even listening to his prayers. Habakkuk did well in taking his questions to God, but he did not like what he heard when the answer came. Habakkuk’s question was basically, “Wait, you are going to use a more evil nation to bring justice to a less evil one? How does that work?” In the midst of the pressure and his questions, however, Habakkuk could hold to the promise of God’s covenant, His commitment, and His correction. When we view our problems through the lens of God, we will always find that our problems will shrink. We will begin to recognize His sovereignty and control over everything happening - even the parts we do not understand.
Last Sunday, our scripture passage showed us correction leads to restoration because:
God’s Promises Remain In Our Pressure.
God Can Use Sinful Practices For His Sovereign Plan.
We Must Wait While God Works.
