- Holland is home to some amazing roller coasters. The country's largest three parks in particular (Walibi Holland, Efteling, Toverland) have some excellent wood and steel roller coasters. In this video, I rank the 10 best roller coasters I have ridden in the Netherlands as of 2020.

Oh, sorry I just missed the premier! (I was doing geometry work)
No worries. It was super short notice. I just wanted to test the feature to see what it would be like.
Untamed looks so good! Nice list btw! It's making me want to pack my bags right now and plan a trip to the Netherlands 👍
Those coasters and the theming of the respective parks is a good reason to visit!
Great video! You should make a video of your top 50 coasters and give a little explanation for each one kinda like what Airtime Thrills does. I would also love to see an in depth Steel Vengeance or Lightning Rod review, because I would love to see you perspective on both of those. Steel Vengeance is my number 1 coaster and LRod is my number 1 bucket list coaster.
I have top 25 overall, top 25 steel, and top 25 wood coaster videos from 2019 that have brief descriptions why each ride is there. For 2020, I could look into expanding that to a top 50.
I do plan to make reviews of Lightning Rod (favorite coaster) and Steel Vengeance (favorite steel coaster).
My favorite coaster in the Netherlands is the Xpress in Walibi Holland. It's a launch coaster and right at the entrance of the park. When you enter the park early in the morning and still are a bit sleepy that coaster will wake you up the best way possible. The launch will pump your blood with adrenaline for the whole rest of the ride. Which is also why i love this one.
I love that ride's queue, but the overall ride can't match Untamed, Goliath, or Lost Gravity to me.
Yeah but thd trim breaks in the middle tuins it
Great list!
Thanks!
Nice list! The trio at Walibi look insane.
They really are!
Very surprised Troy isn't higher, but overall great list!
I was a bit underwhelmed by it, but it was still a great ride!
Hell yeah man, more videos please!
There definitely will!
Can you do a video ranking best coaster lineups in North America/Europe/World?
I can add that to my list of video ideas! I have quite the backlog.
I didn't realize Baron had the pre-lift dark ride section so that's cool
It shocked me too. I thought the theming was all before the ride.
I’d love to go there for the first time next year! 🤞
Fingers crossed!
Canobie Coaster any top tips?
FastLane for Walibi Holland.
Toverland is cool at night, but it gets very busy on the days they're open late. I'd recommend going on a day when they're not open late since lines will be far more manageable.
Give yourself enough time to take in the theming at Efteling. And if you see the Flying Duthcman/Vliegende Hollander running, ride it immediately. I kept missing that ride during my visit and ended up missing it.
Canobie Coaster thanks so much :)
hey, about the lost gravity shaking, you were probably on the back row. that was shaking quite a bit. but since they opened this season, they fixed that problem by adding a few things underneath the trains. its super smooth now!
I rode Lost Gravity several times in the front and back, but it was shaky in both seats. I'm glad they smoothed it out though!
@@CanobieCoaster ah shame you had that experiene. I really like the coaster. and it was running so good last week when I was there. but Untamed is the best in that park....
I agree. Untamed is exceptional.
This is a pretty good list! The only thing I dont understand is why people find Lost Gravity rough. I have done it many times in all seats and I cant seem to notice the shakyness.
It's not painful, but it's noticeable for me.
Fenix looks amazing.
It's beautiful and a good ride.
Imagine riding again a coaster that Canobie Coaster would say:
This coaster feels like a Eurofighter in steroids. This coaster is an intense little ride. It starts with an insanely whippy first drop mixing ejector airtime and laterals. You then fly through a layout giving combinations of all sorts of airtime. Sustained ejector, ejector pops, and floater airtime. You also have some solid hangtime on the zero g roll, and some crazy theming for good measure. While it's clear I love how the ride combines theming, elements, and sorts of airtime, it does have an issue...
A) The pacing.
B) The capacity.
C) The smoothness or lack thereof, it is very shaky.
D) The restraints.
C
Untamed looks like one of the best coasters in the world but I was still shocked when you said you place it that high 🤯
I love coasters with no dead spots. Every single element on Untamed gives ejector airtime or hangtime. There aren't any throwaway turns.
@@CanobieCoaster great to hear! It looks like it hauls!
Nice Video! Also, what was the best moment of hang time on Untamed?
In terms of the quantity of hangtime, the final barrel roll. But I preferred the double inversion towards the start.
Wow! What kind of job do you have that allows you to travel so much? I'm just curious.
Mechanical engineering for a multinational medical device company. Travel to other company sites, vendor sites, hospitals, and conferences.
Great list! Do you have some honorable mentions that you enjoyed but didn’t make the list?
Xpress just barely missed the list. I loved the queue and station on that ride.
@@CanobieCoaster How about Falcon and Formule X? Did you ride those as well?
the top 3 parks in the netherlands look sweet
They certainly are!
You should do one for the other countries as well- Germany, Spain, France, etc.
As long as I've ridden all the top coasters in a particular country/state, I plan to make a ranking video.
Where is the Xpress tho :( keep up the content!
Outside of the queue and start, I thought the ride was dull.
Hope to visit one day but it isn't in the cards anytime soon.
Hopefully you can make it there one day!
Tbh i live in the nedelands and efteling is my home park i have ridden all the coasters so many times that i dont realy like them as much anymore so i always get amazed by other peaples toughts haha
I think home park fatigue is a thing for anyone.
Canobie Coaster oh btw you just got a new subscriber
Thanks!
exactly 5:10 what is that black thing in the air?😰
I think the camera did something funny with the sun.
Goliath kinda seems like a ride of steel clone but all the boring spots were replaced with decently fun and forceful spots
@Patrick Cadiz yeah for sure
That's a really good comparison. Another difference is that the airtime was significantly better towards the back on Goliath. I didn't ride the one at Darien Lake up front since they assigned me towards the middle/back, but the Six Flags America one was better up front.
@@CanobieCoaster wdym they never assign seats at DL, at least the havent for the past 8 years ive been going there
@@MillenniumForceMan They did for the Diamond Elite skip-the-line passes since you came up the exit. I only had 1.5 hours on the way home from Niagara, so I didn't have time for the standby queue.
@@CanobieCoaster oh ok
i guess they fixed Lost gravity. It's been closed for a while and was smooth as butter as of yesterday.
Sounds better than when I rode it last month. Great ride, just rattly.
@@CanobieCoaster That's weird man, the reconstruction was a year ago. Did you ride the middle or the outer seats? I had the outer left seat and it was very smooth 0_O. Now the Condor, that's a goshdang rattler.
No Formule?
I haven't been to that park.
I knew after Goliath was announced as number two that Formule X would be chosen as number one.
Not quite.
So many people have called Untamed a baby Steel Vengeance.
And for good reason!
hakugai or untamed?
I need to go back for Hakugai.
I prefer Goliath over Untamed because I like the sense of speed.
That's fair.
Why do foreign parks have English names?
Not all parks do, but I find English is the language most Europeans know.
My opinion is 1 fenix and 2 untamed and the rest is the same
Interesting. Do you like the landscaping around Fenix?
Nou ik ben Nederlands en je kan goed Nederlands
Thanks, I try the best I can with foreign ride names.
Walibi Holland's top 3 looks up there with Cedar Point's.
I prefer the top 3 at Cedar Point, but Walibi Holland's top 3 is certainly up there.
Make a video of top roller coasters in France, and/or an updated video of top roller coasters in the Netherlands
I won't make one for France at this time since I'm missing Walibi Rhone Alpes. I probably should redo one for the Netherlands. Thank you for the suggestion.
So would you like to go to Walibi Rhone Alpes sometime?
Yes, the park looks great.
Did you ever come off something in the Netherlands breathless?
Yes, Untamed
Do you know Duinrell? Yes or no?
Yes
Did you ever come off something in the Netherlands with a headache?
Yes, Condor.
