- Hi Babes! I've known how to Dutch braid for years, BUT this was the FIRST time trying on myself. I've been wanting to learn how to do it on myself for so long. Since we are in quarantine I finally had time to learn this new skill. I honestly learned how to do this in one day. So if I can do it, so can you! If you try this, let me know if my tips helped! I can braid other people’s hair, but when it comes to my own, I’m kinda a disaster 😂 So I’ve been searching through the entire internet for hours trying to figure out how to do this. Your video has been by far the most helpful!!

I've been trying to figure out how to dutch braid my hair for a long while now and this tutorial was so easy to follow and I think I finally got it. French braiding on the other hand is a whole different story and I'm amazed at people who can do it. thanks for sharing this video, it really helped 😊

Aw babe trust me your not!! it does take some practice but just don’t give up too soon. I feel the biggest mistake I see is thinking you messed up already and starting over every time. You just have to continue the braid fully even if there’s mistakes. The whole starting again ruins your confidence. You got this💖
Step 1: have thick hair.
My hair is baby hair fine. I have half of the amount of hair that you have on one half of your head on my entire head lol. Very thorough and thought out tutorial though! I’m going to try it with one braid down the middle.
I really don’t have that much hair😩 it’s very fine I just know how to give the illusion that I have a lot by adding certain products and the way I style it! I’m happy this tutorial helped you practice makes perfect💖

So basically you guys are cornrowing but you guys are ASHAMED to admit it because you have INAPPROPRIATELY switched out or substituted the original term CORNROW for DUTCH when originally it is CORNROWS because its our (black people) origin we came up with the cornrowing style
You are absolutely right!! I didn’t know about it when I made that video. But recently went to barbering school and learned about cornrows there exactly the same. Only thing that changes is the texture of hair! 🖤🤍🤎💛

It’s really easy until you get down to the full braid cuz the strands are twisted

Aw I know it’s honestly confusing especially when you just start learning it but the best way to really get the hang of it is start with easier braids like a simple three strand braid. Once you get that hang of that it will become easier to hold it. Practice the three strand braid and build your way up to this. I know you can do it! ❤️
Whenever I want Dutch braids I always need to spend money at hair dressers.. Now that I'm watching this tutorial I actually think I could do it by myself since all other tutorials I've watched are kinda too fast and this one is really good girl thank you so much

My arms burn soooooo bad when i do this and thats the only thong stopping me😕
I can't style my hair when its wet or it'll nvr dry.. so I do it dry and u can add a light weight hairspray and brush thru it to give it grip.. my struggle is doing on my self going down a straight line
Body position is everything!! If you want a straight line pay close attention how your body is. Shoulders relaxed and arms to the side not above your head. If it’s not coming out straight your probably putting more pressure on one side. Try it again with this in mind💖
