    I watched this twice before ordering, once a day while it was shipped, and again during my unboxing. This is fantastic- definitely helped and made set up a breeze. Thank you.

    Excellent setup video, thank you. Worth noting that the P6 is supplied with a smoked dustcover and the white belt has now been replaced with our latest black advanced EBLT drive belt (which is also used on Planar 8 and Planar 10 models).

    This is a fantastic turntable! I've had mine about 2 years now...went with an AT33PTG/II which is a perfect match for the Rega RB330 arm. It never disappoints. Rega tables and arms are so dependable, and they're not made in Taiwan or China!!! Their QC is still as it was back in the day! LOVE REGA!!!!

      Thanks so much for sharing! Yes, still all made in the UK with great sound and they last forever. We just upgraded a 40 year old Rega with a new belt, power supply, motor, and cartridge and the customer is thrilled.

    Took delivery of an RP6 today and found this video very helpful. My previous turntable was an RP1 (bought in the late 70s) and this model is a noticeable step up in every aspect.

    My wife & I enjoy the Planar 6 with the Ania MC cartridge. Rule #1 don't play records with the dust cover on as it introduces rumble. Rule #2 enjoy the music.

    How can it be that NO one is doing it the way Rega suggest in their manuals? They write: balance the tonearm, so it floats 1mm above the RECORD surface. If you do this, then be sure to have a blank sided record, so when you lift the arm towards the spindle, to see if it's clear of the surface? The blank sided record is for your safety, and if you do it this way, it's much more accurate then the way showing here. Cheers

    Why do some videos say put anti skate with Exact 2 cartridge to zero or just under 1?

    • @AudioAdvice

      We feel it is best to start with the same as the tracking force, but the only true way to test it is with something like this www.audioadvice.com/turntables/turntable-cables-accessories/musical-surroundings-analogue-productions-test-lp. The first cut on side 2 has an antiskate test. Thanks for watching

    What should the anti-skate be set to?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 года назад +1

      It depends on which cartridge you have with your P6, but all three Rega cartridges that come in a package with it track between 1.75 and 2 grams, antiskate should be the same as your tracking force.

      You don’t know what you’re talking about. Rega has spent 30 years designing tonearms and building them in-house. The P6 turntable has the RB330 handmade precision tonearm, made in the UK. Don’t just go “uh... it looks cheap” without having seen or used one.

      Clearaudio Concept is inferior to P6, both regarding sound quality and build quality. No contest. I've seen and heard them both. Clearaudio models are probably the most overpriced turntables on the market.
