Enjoyed my P3 for years. Recently traded up to a P8. Still love the P3, but with the P8 I never knew records could sound so good.

I sold Rega turntables in the early 1980's and found they were the best value and performance in their price point. The evolution of the company is impressive.

Interviewer: "Why is it important to have it in 3D?"
*while standing in front of the man who spends his career 3D modeling*
    Roy: "It's not important..."

I bought a Rega P2 to about 6 months ago to replace my dead Technics SL-5, the best I could do with my budget. It's my first manual TT and I'm really happy with it so far. I had an AT-VM540ML installed to replace the Carbon and found that my AVR phono jack was so weak, I added the Fono MM Mk5 to go with it...worlds of difference! Hopefully i won't have to spend any more money on it for a while.

Just upgrade a good cartridge. I went from an Ortofon 2m blue too a 2m black. Best Decision❤

I have an older planar 3,from1999, no bracing plate on the deck itself, what does it do exactly and is there much improvement over the older P3 .

Can you spot the differences between this production area and the production area for the technics sl 1200G, it's night and day different . BTW what are the rumble and wow and flutter figures for rega turntables, I'd really like to know as they don't seem to publish them?

Direct drive turntables also have issues. The factory looks great and employees seem to be very happy. I have constantly upgraded my REGA gear and everything was really easy to sell on. For anyone on a tight budget this is the way to go.

Love Rega as a company, but got the Technics SL 1200 G. Its just a better turntable all round.
