    Great choices in a crowded market segment. I think a sleeper in this price range is the U-Turn Orbit Theory w/Ortofon 2M Bronze at about $1300. I also like the Marantz TT -15S1 in this price range and it's a looker.

    I have the debut pro and i’m really satisfied with it. Thinking about upgrading it with a ortofon 2M bronze cartridge instead of the pick it pro cartridge that was premounted. Guess I won’t need to buy another turntable for a lifetime thereafter 😂😍
    I chose between rega p3 and the debut pro but after a lot of research, reviews and the fact that the debut pro design attracted me more the choice landed on the debut pro.

    This was a wonderful review. Thank you for sharing these "top shelf" turntables. After looking at Turntables through out 2023, I ended up going to Best Buy and Purchasing a Sony LX310BT Turntable with BLUETOOTH. It is an automatic turntable. It has a built in Pre-amp. It cost me 199.00 dollars and does everything I need. It is plugged into a pair of Klipsch Powered Speakers that were on sale for 299.00 dollars. While I respect these wonderful turntables, some of us don't have that big a budget. Happy 2024, Love Your Channel!

    Ask yourself a question: Why is it that you NEVER see double-blind hearing tests on equipment dedicated to AUDIO?!?!? If audio equipment REALLY had the differences that reviewers assert, it should be a no-brainer. And yet.

    • @tinetannies4637

      @@richardsoos8902 What you're saying is that audio reviewers are able to make all sorts of claims about the quality and merits of equipment whether it be over short or long auditions, yet somehow they can't make blind distinctions between equipment over those same auditions. Those two points simply conflict with one another.

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  8 месяцев назад

      That is the $64,000 question. There has not been a push to standardize how things were done. There are three steps and only AAA would be all analog. Any older recordings pre around 1982 should be analog, but you have to be careful of repressing which could be redone in digital. Many repressing will brag about being all analog, but that is about it

      Yes, that is correct, they told us they did not want to the starting price of the table to be so high it would discourage people, we asked them to have two versions, one that way, and one with one of their MC cartridges that supports balanced. These modern TT’s suck. No dust covers, no suspension systems, only isolating feet, & none dissipate vibrations🙈, they & Sorbothane only hold & reintroduce it into the unit. With a budget of $2K, a vintage model is desirable. My Thorens TD520 is a perfect example😎.

    It is terribly annoying to see the x2b coming with the Sumiko Rainier. The outgoing X2, which is damn near the same, had the Sumiko Moonstone. Wildly different calibers.
    I’m also kinda lost on why the product photos, like the one in this video, show the turntable with a Moonstone mounted. The Sumiko Rainer is white, the moonstone is red. I’m guessing someone just copied and pasted from the old model.

      @MarcusFenixD Rega with their lack of speed control without a separate box, lack of VTA adjustment, lack of azimuth adjustment, even the feet can’t be levelled, permanently fixed RCA leads and complete lack of published specs for wow and flutter, rumble and so on I took a hard pass on a P3.
      For example a P3 lacks everything I mentioned previously and it costs £100 more than the Pro-Ject Debut Pro which offers all of the above. Don’t really see any appeal to Rega at all.

      @@michaelb9664Im telling you this as an owner of a Project Debut Pro with the stock Pick It Pro that the P3 with an Exact absolutely walks all over it. The Project arm feels massively inferior for one thing. Sure it has more adjustability but the point of the Rega ranges is to stick within the family for the wonderful synergy. If someone likes the distinctive Rega sound then at their respective price points their products cant be touched. Project is a rather over productive brand keen on pushing XLR in the home environment and just sell, sell, sell no matter what but they do some decent stuff and the made in EU is a good thing
