Sustainability advocates encourage us to reduce, reuse or recycle clothing, but that advice is hard to execute without help figuring how to do that. You provide the inspiration through your thrift flips and styling videos. LOVE everything!! Today I especially loved the last set. Thanks for making sustainability fun. 👏👏
I'd love to see you flip the blue quilted house dress, your idea for it sounded sooo cute. Love all your vids!!! I loved the last flip the best, you are so talented.
Love the colors in the first dress. Here is something i have learned to do. Take the factory sewn hem you cut off and cut right next to the factory hem leaving just enough room to sew it back on to your dress after cutting to desired length. I sometimes hand sew it on this type of material because I don't have a serger. top stitch and your done. Looks nice and neat. Stitch witchery iron on tape is another way. Sew then iron, sew then iron, always makes a garment look better. Loved all the flips. And love your new studio! It's nice to have a place that everything has it's place and can stay there. In your house you have to clean up each time. You rock! Be Blessed!
You've streamlined so many patterning operations! It's just amazing how a positive and friendly person like you can motivate to create something really unique! Thank you so much for this!
I like the print of the dress on the mannequin bust. Love the eyehole neckline of the inspo photo Love the pieces but would of loved to see that last one stay as a dress. The puffy sleeves turned out amazing. My fav is the second. But that fit of the one is 👌
JEEZ! I really couldn't pick a favorite on this one. I love all the colors! Great job! On the last one I love how the pattern on the top came out so perfectly symmetrical. Just beautiful.
Oh my gosh!!! This is what got me hooked on your channel way back when.....❤ The little orange and yellow shorts and tie back top was my favorite. But I loved each one..
Aww I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I have plenty of other thrift flips with amazing pieces that you'd probably really enjoy too! i LOVE that last 2-piece! thanks!
15:22 OK I am pretty shocked at how cute the top is I like the details and I thought it was gonna be really square and yes it is kind of square, but it’s got some shape to it in the way it’s tied in the back, I kind a like it. I kind of love it actually I thought I was gonna hate it so I’m learning how to sew and you’re so educational and FUN.
I love your projects, they turned out great, sew cute( yes, I spelled it wrong on purpose) if you have a little bit of leftover fabric you could make a headband or scrunchie. The 1st and 3rd outfits would be cute with coordinating tights and high top boots and a fluffy faux fur jacket for cooler weather. You are an inspiration to me when it comes to fashion. Keep making your wonderful projects and videos.
Excellent job! I particularly love how you recut the last one and made the top. I'll soon be in the men's department of my local thrift stores. May I offer one suggestion? Two well-placed darts in the back at the hem line of the crop tops you make will enhance the fit even further. Crop tops look great on you, but have you considered making tops with peplums? You have the figure for it! BTW, I am a costumer for theater, and contrary to belief, most of what we build is repurposed. You are skilled!! (And I also do it all on the same machine as you have-no fancy computerized beast for me! My heirloom machine was 'killed' in an accident.)
These are such great transformations! A while back I got a red dress of gorgeous textured silk in an appalling style.I had planned on modifying it into a completely different style of dress but decided to make a skirt instead because it'd be more versatile. Today I started ripping it apart into its component sections, which I'll be cutting into rectangles and combining for maximum fullness! Oh, and it will reuse the original dress's pockets because all clothing need pockets 😊
@@WellLoved I finished it last night, and you would not BELIEVE how many times I sewed the zipper in wrong 😂 I think it was 4? One side was too low, so I ripped it out and re-sewed it, only I moved it in the wrong direction, so I ripped it out again and re-re-sewed it, and it was EVEN FARTHER OFF 💀 so I marked more carefully where I needed to move it and re-re-re-sewed it… and it was perfect! On the bright side, I figured out how the zipper teeth are supposed to fit into my zipper foot (they poke up sideways into the channel because apparently "press the zipper flat" doesn't really mean "flat," it means "at a right angle" lmao okay Coats and Clark)
Love your enthusiasm! Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration and promoting recycling. I love the last piece too, fantastic colours, great ideas 🙏💖
You are adorable! It is so fun watching you turn those pieces into darling and updated sets!!! I wish I was young and cute again to do this to thrift store finds. God Bless
You are so talented ❣️😻 those freaking sets!! So glad to see you in your new space! I'm finally getting my office/beauty room/vintage/reselling space done! 💗💗
Reminds me of the war years when Mend and Make do was promoted to help women keep their families in decent clothes.with rations and lack of supplies, this knowledge was important
You are very talented. I love your vision. Please take a hint from an old lady (old enough to be your grandmother), if you make a deeper hem on your clothing it will make them just that much more couture. Keep sewing!
I'm loving your styling. The scarves in your hair is mmmm .simply great. Back in the sixties..oh yea, way back. We'd make scarves to go with the dresses we made. A triangle with 2 straps to tie behind our neck ,under our chin when riding in a convertible.
So I actually do several variations of hems. You don’t have to double fold every hem all the time. I also zig zag my edges so it looks as neat as a serged edge which are majority left unfolded. It’s a matter of personal preference and I prefer mine this way. Thanks for watching!
I'm going to guess that your mod color splash fabric is a lycra from about 1962-65. Think Samantha from Bewitched, or, actually, Serena; Serena was the hip one. I'm guessing 1962 because mini skirts were around then, but knee length mod dresses were still easy to find. You would probably have worn that dress with white go go boots, black eyeliner, and a newsboy cap with a narrow bill. And oversized plastic (Bakelite) jewelry.

thank you so much! this is exactly what i hope to help with!
So cute 🥰 I love it all ❤
I'd love to see you flip the blue quilted house dress, your idea for it sounded sooo cute. Love all your vids!!! I loved the last flip the best, you are so talented.
thanks so much! I'll see what i can do about getting that house dress in the next flip

In your house you have to clean up each time.
You rock! Be Blessed!
great idea! I've done this a couple of times, but with this fabric it wouldn't have laid flat, so i just left it off. thanks for watching!
You've streamlined so many patterning operations! It's just amazing how a positive and friendly person like you can motivate to create something really unique! Thank you so much for this!
i love an easy smooth process! thank you!
All are amazing! My favourite is the orange and yellow shorts and top flip. Soooo cute!
thank you! I LOVE that one!
So happy to see you got an iron finally to and no more straightener😂 doing the work! And love the new “She Shed!”
lol i occasionally still use the straightener. I like it for certain projects haha thanks!
I like the print of the dress on the mannequin bust.
Love the eyehole neckline of the inspo photo
Love the pieces but would of loved to see that last one stay as a dress. The puffy sleeves turned out amazing.
My fav is the second. But that fit of the one is 👌
thanks so much! i almost left it as a dress but I'll get a TON of wear out of it as a set! thanks for watching!
So happy u r flipping again love all the pieces

You are adorable! It is so fun watching you turn those pieces into darling and updated sets!!! I wish I was young and cute again to do this to thrift store finds. God Bless
aww thank you!
There's always fray check or iron on ribbon if you want a natural edge that won't fray.
I just ran out of my fray check, but when I get more I will most likely be applying it
You could make a scarf/headband with the leftover fabric from the first dress! It would look cute together!!😀💜
true, cute!
You are so lively and bubbly, a God send 💕 beautiful makes you did and very inspiring 🙂 God bless ❤️
I like how you made the puff on the last outfit.

i'm very thankful for the skill of sewing
You are very talented. I love your vision. Please take a hint from an old lady (old enough to be your grandmother), if you make a deeper hem on your clothing it will make them just that much more couture. Keep sewing!
Thanks!
Yes!! I love a deeper hem. It adds some weight to the piece and helps it hang better.
Thank you for thrift flipping. Love tnis.
I love thrift flipping! thanks!
I'm loving your styling.
The scarves in your hair is mmmm .simply great.
Back in the sixties..oh yea, way back. We'd make scarves to go with the dresses we made. A triangle with 2 straps to tie behind our neck ,under our chin when riding in a convertible.
Thanks so much!! I LOVE a scarf, it's the easiest and cutest way to get my bangs off my face! super cute to match them to dresses, love it!
