I absolutely love this story! We need local advocates in communities like this to make the transition happen. Fantastic learning about this local effort and community.
Great video, Steven. I am so glad to see other Mainers promoting EVs. My wife and I have a couple of VW ID.4s and I hope to meet you some day soon as we travel over to the cost from Fairfield. Keep up the great work. I will check out your Facebook page as well.
Dedication to electrification LIVES in Steven Peters (24/7!). Hope the warmth of the Atlantic keeps you in rain, Steve. We’ve been lucking out on the north side of Rochester - Lake Erie plume largely staying just south of home.
Thanks, Dave. It's flooded every inch of eastern New England this past week, so I think we'd actually take the white stuff again for a while. Easier to shovel than to bail 🤔 Steven's a force of nature as well, thankfully with many more positive outcomes like solar power and charging installations!
Thanks for making good content. Enjoy other people’s EV stories. I have used a few destination chargers in the last two months and am glad they are an option when making overnight trips.
L2 can really help, for sure. Primarily overnight but anywhere you plan to spend several hours (hikes in national/state parks come to mind), or hop between multiple locations that all have a place to plug in, can also cut out a fast charge stop.
Hey Steve...Great video and Steven is an amazing human being! People like him with their positive attitudes make life just that much better! We honeymooned in that area of Maine 35 years ago(this coming September 30 ) stayed 3 days in Camden and traveled up the coast to Bucksport for a day trip! Beautiful part of the country! We are heading North on Tuesday for the week, lots of cold weather and snow now!!! 😂 Cheers and stay warm! Mike and Ally 🇨🇦
Love to see stories like this that are very impactful in EV adoption and you make all the difference in the world. Love the positive energy and we need a lot of this in today's life.
Excellent interview & highlight of what Steven’s doing! Great to see the middle-of-the-night EV dedication! Thanks for sharing (and making me want to drive to Maine even more.)

@@plugandplayEV Oh. Didn’t realize it was that widespread. A little shovel work would be an improvement. Hope it’s a NON-event Steve.
Steven is the greatest
Couldn't agree more... amazing energy! ⚡👍
Thanks, Steve! I think this is the perfect example of how smaller communities and EV Advocacy groups will be leading the "charge."
So many good people working at the local level to improve things for all of us. I hope to check in with many more of them this year! ⚡
Dude is a one-man machine making Bucksport's EV hopes & dreams come true.
He's just getting started... watch out, world!

Bucksport, Maine is⚡️!
🦞⚡
I am having to go to Bucksport this summer, and planning to rent an EV for the trip. This video is a handy resource. Many thanks to you both.
Have fun and be sure to grab a drink at Bucksport Nutrition if you're parched!
And just ran into Steven at Bucksport House of Pizza! That was awesome!
