- Splatoon 3 Top 500 Rank is already harsh enough if you don't get on good win streaks. In this case we do however its STILL harsh the higher you climb the ranks of X Battles. We use the Heavy Splatling Deco one of the newer Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season weapons to obtain passed Top 100 Rank till we hit a HUGE Wall...

If they want to maintain the division system, a solution they should implement is to add a prompt to temporarily access the other division if the game has spent a certain amount of time failing to find a match
Uhh, yeah, this is totally why I choose to stay low rank, not cause im bad or anything. Yeah, I just don't like waiting too long for matches.

The worst part is the "please try again" thing, like, why don't they just keep you in queue instead of having you continually spam the a button to rejoin

The problem is that is extremely long waiting times will not benefit dudes streamer life. I was top 19 and finished 28 second season and i kid you not waiting times are 30 mins if you are lucky, most of the time getting 1 game in a full 2 hr rotation, its insane and mainly the reason why i changed to Asia which gives faster matches

@@Moon-gn9px Yeah, i mean its pretty sad that Dude being the tremendous talented player he is, is restricted by the game matchmaking and yeah also being a streamer since to keep an audience he has to be constantly playing. It was rlly good the feeling of getting to the top but it gets overwhelmed by the annoying waiting times 🥲 I hope it gets fixed soon
Yeah, I agree. He definitely has the skill, it's just the wait times that suck.
Dude is so skillful with basically every weapon. I don't know how he does it.

I'm only top 3000 so I haven't had this issue, but I've heard at higher powers it becomes impossible to find games, ttek division is a ghost town compared to JP I think 💀
That's only at the highest points so the very large majority of players will never have to deal with that.

@@KM-wy6yh there is no right solution. It's either they get high enough that matchmaking can't find people to match with them, or they get thrown into fast matches against players who aren't ready to and don't want to fight them.
How can you even reach said power when all you get are +10s for clean sweeps and -60s for 2-3s?
@@ostland3702 Because if you win 3 games that would've each given you +10, +5, or even +0 if the players were low enough on the other team, but you also lost 2 games that would've each lost you 60 x-power, it doesn't matter that the net value of all the games should've been super low, you still gain glicko/x-power. The system is weighted in the favor of anyone who wins sets.
I've never been in top 500 nor am I British so I wouldn't know🤷
I love Splatoon, but I wish we could play the ranked modes without being ranked.
Idk, just knowing each loss matters more really makes anarchy just too stressfull for me to enjoy.
That’s basically what Open is, the points changes are so miniscule that it may as well not matter

There's so many days where I just completely suck at the game and some days where I feel like a god, so my gameplay is not consistant enough to ever feel the pains of a top 500 player
My experience in X is mostly very very grindy cause I only get +10 s 😭
I'm surprised to hear people downplay X battle achievements.
Like, man, the sheer endurance of just *finding a match* seems to be the real challenge here. It takes fortitude.
this happened to me for the first time yesterday where I couldn’t find a game. I felt so proud of myself, I have been a splatoon player for half a year and being so good that i couldn’t find people to play with felt like such a win 💪

problem with Splatoon 3 is that it had so much hype when it first started only to make people utterly hate the gmae due to its match making system now there is so many modes and the players keep leaving so.
I have the same issue when I play. It’s a motivation killer to get all the way up to #50 in Rainmaker and then never get into a match again

i’ve been top 80 in rainmaker and after that point i practically spent the entire rotation looking for just 1 game, haha

Was in top 3000 when X first dropped and yeah, can confirm that things were a little weird even back then, and it’s only gotten more so with each season
To the point where I’m almost convinced that, if you wanna see the game absolutely shatter, go to X matches

@@StarfishGoneToxic I completely agree. I get that using “This Way!” is a good way to let people know something’s up but, using it at every possible opportunity is just all kinds of distracting and it makes it very difficult to focus and trust them when something actually happens for real
The worst one I’ve run Into so far used it 31 times
Its a tough time up here and dropping a single set can cost you everything not to mention how long it takes to push up thanks to long queue times (still better than splatoon 2 x rank though)

If you don’t finish a series in x rank and the season ends does it still take your current power or will it apply the power changes of the matches in the series? Asking to see if I lose 2 times but I have a high power so I know if I should play another match cause it’s going to change anyway or just leave it at that and don’t play anymore.
It takes your current power, your 2 losses won't count. Reached top 3000 that way lol

Well lucky to have s+ rank anarchy and series bcuz i will be just happy if i ever reach Top 500 x rank so that i have just achieved it, the accomplishment is what you want so if its hard to match then just switch to anarchy to have fun and train, but they should make it better.
Question: what weapon do you main? I see you use a lot of weapons but I don’t really see you use one weapon over every other weapon.

X Ranked The first or second match of the day always goes wrong for some reason like when I wake up and eat breakfast settle down and play Splatoon the first match always goes wrong for some reason getting spawn camped , getting chased , some dude hiding on the other side of the map waiting to throw a clam in our basket stuff like that
For real, I got to top50 and suddenly was having to wait 30 minutes for 1 game… it would say not enough players like 5-8 times before it found a match. Hella annoying.
play league of legends and get challenger top 50. And wait 1 hour for a game or even more. This is nothing

I don’t even know why I watched this, I’ve never played any splatoon game. I was completely lost during all the gameplay lol
I had this same issue. I’m top 500 and i couldn’t find a game for like 10 minutes and when I did it would always be laggy somewhat. Im connected to ethernet btw
it’s like once u get to 2500 it’s hard to find players

I’m far from being a ”good” player, my x power hovers around 1700 for all modes, but like even for me, who uses mostly melee weapons, mainly brushes and rollers, once or twice splatana wiper, and raremy duallies, each and everytime I need to try 6-7 times before I find a match (then I loose but that’s another story😂)
They say that those on top are also the loneliest

and cot cursed to 1300 x power so I guess I can’t play x clams
The rank X division created the worst scenarios and expanded the problem many people faced already in Splatoon 2
The more players closer to each other the less likely are they to find both matches and climb the power ladder. When everyone was "suggesting":
-less people in Rank X, get those "timmies" out of X
-A rank above X for only 2400, only 2400 are good players
Well welcome to rank X in Splatoon 3. But at least the greatest thing above all, We dont take heavy losses for losing 1 singular match.
The match making, if it only relied on the players that you are close by, can not exist outside of Japan. When playing Splatoon 1 in 2018 and 2019 my matches were composed 99% of the time of Japanese players, and i live on the complete opposite of the country (that was even a gig during the Olympics, Japan Brazil)
The active japan base player always passed us in anyway keeping them apart was a double edge sword. I have no clue to what to do to fix this entirely with what we have. All i know rank X is a anxiety cause if you want those badges.

the Splatoon 2 matchmaking system was awful. But now the Splatoon 3 matchmaking system is so much embarrassingly worse, i wish they would revert the whole thing to the system Splatoon 2 had.

It’s the reality of skill based matchmaking. It’s either this or be paired to hyper-carry people who don’t know how to play the game. Anyone that played Pokémon Unite, would understand. (Scenario exaggerated for effect but you’d be very much surprised.)

Seeing that thatsrb2dude can not find a match base on his placement is a good thing as it shows that the match making is heavily superior to what ever Splatoon match making is. That is a step in the right direction, no?

Even now i feel like lower Xpower match making is not the best, the match ups are never the best, in the range of 1900-2200 some teams are just immediately obviously better than the other team or vise verso or its a stale mate the entire game
for real, sometimes I'll feel like my enemies are either clearly a lower skill level or clearly way better, I don't find balanced games as often as I should.
@@Linktober04 thats why i stick to Series only, because X Battle feels so unattractive to me because of that and the long waiting times. Tried Tower Control and Rainmaker calc matches once and it was my least fun experience in the game i had so far.
The problem with match making ive seen in both regions is that for example if you play a normal charger the game most likely will give the other team another charger and since usually 4k is played more, you get a match up in which you playing the shorter range charger are found at disadvantage, this is the case for most weapons, sometimes you will find yourself playing against a counter or you being the counter. Really sucks but yeah
@@PicochillaTH I only play X clams because most people in X have enough game sense that lets you make game winning plays yourself if need be, other gamemodes I'll play in open with friends but rarely solo q
@@omar._.8728 for real, there are a few weapons I try to avoid that I usually have fun with because it's a bad weapon compared to the misc meta defining weapon that people will use constantly. On the other hand some wep matchmaking classes consist of meh weapons at best and makes the weps there more playable.
