He'll definitely appreciate it but I doubt he'll use it permanently because evo tesla and evo skeles are really strong, evo gob barrel kinda forces you to change your play style from standard bait and also dagger duchess.
It's probably not going to be a very good evolution if DD doesn't give nerf by the time the evo release's. Well for log bait specifically but i can see it in a royal recruits deck.

@@carlosemilio385And even if DD does get nerfed. I'm pretty sure people (more specifically beat down players or people with a relatively high hp tower on one side) wouldn't mind only taking 2 shots from the fake one.

what dagger dutchess needed was to deal the same damage as what a skeleton had but have a lot of ammo so it countered skarmy but when having to fight any tanks its struggles as much as cannoneer against skarmy
Tbf I can see this being pretty good for split lane decks like Royale hog cycle or recruits
Not worth replacing one of the cards in those decks
There is a major issue that NOBODY is talking about with this evolution. Now, because of the evolution icon after deploying the card, tricky barrels are now extremely easy to counter. A solution to this issue is one, having the evolution icon appear after the barrel lands, or two, make the icon appear on the king tower.
i didnt see any evo icon on the placement of the barrel tho, am i blind? i cannot understand

@@accidentalgnius If your opponent cycles a troop or spell, you'll see a purple diamond-shaped evo icon above that card where they deployed it.
Now look at Boss's towers when the opponent play's their normal Goblin barrel onto it. You'll see the purple diamond-shaped icon where the barrel is supposed to land.
I feel like its not supposed to be used in bait, the purpose of bait decks is not to pressure the lanes in a way that would let the barrel connect, its to catch the opponent with spells/counters out of cycle. I think the evo barrel will be VERY strong in split lane like with piggies or recruits(even tho they suck now)

Arrows, log, zap, and snowball shuts all of that shit down lmao, these types of decks never work unless your opponent has no spell and/or is braindead

@@nickszns bro listen, decoy goblin have basically 1 health since its so fragile and canoneer, no matter the situation, one shot goblin. So if you throw a goblin barrel, well canoneer will take this goblin barrel as fast as the decoy. Princess tower on the other hands also one shot the decoy one but faster 😐
I think Dagger Duchess just needs a bit of a rework to fix the unfairness of matchmaking dependent decks
I would say make the daggers go from slow to exponentially fast, kinda like the little prince already does

I also can't see dagger duchess being balanced. We have cannoneer who is supposedly a tank killer, why is dagger duchess fulfill that role way better? She should be a swarm killer only
@@sparky844 supercell has only "removed" 1 card, the heal spell, but then kinda got it back into the game as the heal spirit, so no they are not gonna remove her

If (more like when) duchess gets nerfed, this could be insane in split lane evo recruits decks, but with the current duchess no split lane deck is going to work

I feel like this will be great for split lane decks, not bait. You can hammer away at both towers with recruits, hogs, wall breakers, and then evo barrel will also hit both towers. You could constantly throw barrels at the tower with more HP and then throw the evo one on the tower with less to trip people up, or constantly alternate them. Either way I feel like it would be better in a deck like that vs bait

@@Bosscr which is a shame. They should make a (barely) visible way to tell which one is which. Otherwise, Dagger Dutchess is the only counterplay possible.

I absolutely love this direction of evolutions, seeing evolutions that do nothing but benefit the deck that is already always used with the card that got the evolution is lame, evolutions like this will lead to way more unique decks and won’t pressure you to always run your win condition’s evolution

Feels like it's gonna be good in split lane decks, though Evo recruits seem preferable anyways...
Calling it a "decoy" isn't really accurate, since the puppets are just as much of a threat to a distracted tower as the real ones.
As a cannoneer user, I'm not a fan this. I think they should have had the puppets hit once or twice and then run out of energy (they literally wind them up like a toy in the animated video)
Sucks being a Cannoneer user in the next season, Dagger Duchess just getting better and better despite the equal nerf 💀
The decoys shouldn’t even do damage, if you don’t play down your log the normal goblins get a hit anyways and you can’t predict it until it spawns in anyways

@@antichrxst3516 fucking how? The whole point of recruits is to attack both sides, sending 2 barrels for 3 elixir while the recurits are tanking is going to be op as hell since the opponent will be to busy trying to kill the recruits.

It’s probably not gonna be great when it comes out but I do think it might give it more niche uses in other decks that have more uses for split lane pressure. I think evo recruits evo barrel could be one of those niche decks.
I could see this being good in 2v2 game modes where there is more chaos and its a lil easier to split lanes in 2v2 as well
also this and evo recruits would be a crazy deck
to me it feels like it can be good with bridgespam, not with like peka decks, but with more like e golem spam since it can give a lot of pressure to both lanes at once, and can't log both of then
the problem is that later in the game, when you get to the 3rd barrel, you usually already decided on tower to focus on
would make sense if the decoy did no damage but had the same goblin hitpoints, and only 1 cycle evo, so that the evolution really aims at doing mind games and not making the opponent use their entire hand to defend two barrels
honestly it could open up the meta for a dual push bait deck. Excited to see

okay but it also makes where the goblin barrel will land seen to the opponent so you can't fake barrel with regular barrel anymore. i think non-evolved goblin barrel might be even better.

They shouldve gave the wvo barrel its impact damage like from 2016 but toned down si that it can kill skelotons but nit spear gobs
We will see new log bait decks it won’t be able to be swapped in to the meta log bait decks this season, excited to see the decks Ryley comes up with
you should have also used the princess tower instead of the dagger duchess to see the interaction and what type of situation you might use it in
Yo Boss, why do you also use gameplay from other people? Do you not like high enough rank in the program or do you just not feel like testing it / can't find people to play test it
In the dev build the decoy is larger than the real goblin barrel, so you can tell who is who. Plus you can tell when the evo is comming.
I feel Evo Goblin Barrel might be useful on Hog Barrel with Ice Golem
I can see this with the royal recruits to make a double lane push
I thought it would be 2 barrels and both have 1 decoy which acts like a tank and the tower targets that first

the evo actually nerfs the regular barrel since the evo elixir drop thing can tell you where they play the barrel

since bomber is no longer 1 cycle i think itd be cool to have a 3 elixir 1 cycle. goblin barrel would probably be the most balanced instance for this to work

Evo barrel is actually a nerf to goblin barrel. Being able to see the purple shard where you place the barrel eliminates all tricky barrel plays.
It's very, very nice to see a lot of balanced evos coming out in a row

I feel like this could be one of the highest skill evolutions in the game wich is weird to saysince goblin barrel is normally a pretty liw skill card

The decoy barrel being bigger is a visual bug and supercell said that it'll be fixed before it releases.
2v2 both opponents evo barrel and mirror so 6 barrels. Reflect with monk evo barrel mirror barrel. So 12 barrels. Then clone on both sides and you get 24 barrels so you now have 48 goblins.
Decoy goblin need tank to deal damage, knight is the best combo for evolution goblin barrel
The decoys that are in the barrel should act as meat shields upon landing
What happens if you send an evolved goblin barrel to the king tower and cloned it? Would the decoy goblins become cloned regular goblins?

Evo Barrel very nieche, no stat boost except for 2nd goblin barrel in the opposite lane with 60% less health. Log Bait has better evo options like knight, tesla, skeletons, zap, Valkyrie (and ice spirit) . Worst evo in the game unless it gets a buff and/or dagger duchess gets a nerf. Very situational. Has more pop off moments than ice spirit and can be very good in split lane pushes but log bait doesnt have many 2 lane pushes. May be good in heavier decks and split lane decks, so duchess has no ammo and you get value out of both goblin barrels but those decks tend to have more appealing evo options.
Very strategic of an evolution.
I just dont think this evo will be used by anyone apart from Riley.. it might have a healthy usage rate tho if supercell gives it an instant hit speed buff, where the decoy goblins automatically hit the tower 0.2-0.3 seconds after spawning, that way maybe they might actually be useful
If this was released back when cannoneer was the meta tower troop it would've been completely busted. Unfortunately Dagger Duchess just renders this evo mostly useless.

Not that it matters much, but I noticed that when the decoy barrels were thrown, the real barrel was on top of the decoy barrel for a split second when thrown (along with the bug in which the decoy barrel is larger in size than the real barrel) Hope this gets fixed before it gets released to the public🥲

They need to add evolution gobblins to the real goblin barrel in the evolution. Just drop 2 evolutions at the same time, goblins and goblin barrel.

It proves what many people forget about balancing: You don't have to specificly adjust the card you want to balance to make it better or worse.
