Biggest tip i can give is dont chase the meta for the sake of winning. Warhammer is a constantly updated game now and a model that is a MUST can become an overpriced brick in the blink of an eye. Theres nothing wrong with buying say a pair of cryptothralls or a a Hexmark, especially if you find a good deal on one. But buying a ton of them because of a strong ability or a dirt cheap *Points cost for the sake of a few wins isnt a good idea. Especially if Eldar and the other top 5 armies get major nerfs because Necrons are very likely to be the next best thing. *Edit was Price, changed to Points Cost. If I could find a T.Ctan for 30$ I would skip a few dinners to get one lmao.
Great video as always! - There is no such thing as "unnecessarily tanky", Necron units want to avoid destruction in order to get RP. Make your units as tanky as you can, so they have a chance to also show that resilience! If you think you're exaggerating, you're not :D - There is, however, such thing as "too many HQs" xD Pick the leaders wisely, the costs add up!
sadly the combat patrol is not available anymore as you mentioned :( I have won a giveaway and asked for it and it was out of print.... got the sisters box though :D
Great tips! I always forget the objectives (I tend toward the aforementioned “60 warrior footsloggers” so I need to diversify with fast objective units. Would Deathmarks work? Also, never ever take fixed missions. It doesn’t yield a high enough return to be worth it, having adaptable units to handle secondaries is a huge help. But big tough blobs with bigger guns are still loads of fun.
Thank you for the tips, always nice to hear some ! Any plan for a Ghost Ark video? Feels like with 10th changes on transports and the boon to reanimation protocols, there is a lot to say about how to use that one.
I heard a couple of times that the moving with reanimation isn’t a thing anymore? Could have heard wrong obviously but it feels kinda scummy to scuttle up like that. Feels a bit to try-hard if allowed
You have to place all models within coherence of the unit. Before you could just place it next to any model in the unit. This would allow you to reanimate 10 warrior and gain a ton of movement. It was very dirty but very very effective. So now you gain a little bit but not game breaking amount of movement
Yeah can only place in coherency of models that started the phase on the board. But if we’re honest it was always not intended by the rules and a janky thing, I have zero problem then having fixed it.
Commenting as I wanted to see what your thoughts were on Reanimation = movement now since the rules update. The internet is split on where returning models can be placed...
the movement still applies. just not as congo lined. When this video was filmed, I already had in my head that your only gaining the 2" coherency + the reanimated models base. but that itself can stretch you onto objs
Your correct but misunderstanding what I said in the video. I’m not daisy chaining. You can put 2 warriors out within coherency. You’ll gain 2” plus the width of their bases which is more than an inch more. Basically just over 3”
It’s been said in the replies to a comment but just to put in main thread… you can’t use reanimation for movement now (maybe like 2” extra) as you have to place reanimated models in coherency with models that started the phase on the board. Personally I have zero issue with them having fixed this. It was clearly never an intended design choice and always felt janky AF to me (don’t get me wrong I used it 😂).
That’s what I was referring to. You gain a 2” gap from base to base then of course add the size of the reanimated models base. Your looking about about just over 3” in total
The Lokhust Lord is only adding 6 of those 42 hits. I really don’t know if he is worth 2 more Heavy Lokhust Destroyers… He is great for the regular Lokhust Destroyers.
For #1, I believe that it was clarified that all of the reanimated models have to be within coherency of a model that was already on the table. That kind of limits how far you can stretch when adding models back to a unit, but the idea still works. It is just much more limited now.
The hard part about building a necron army is purely the lack of model kits. Unless you want to use the weakest necron units, you are literally stuck in limbo waiting for GW to produce some kits; which as we know GW, simply isnt in their business plan.

Great video as always. Next week a Crusader campaign will start in my LGS so this is exactly I need the hear and listen now. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Very great video, especially as someone who is just starting in the hobby with Necrons
Thank you very much for your videos! I knew as I saw the index, that Necrons brings a lot of fun this edition.
Now I need only time to play them 😅

Would you review the Void Dragon in 10th? I’m in love but I’ve only used him against Nids so far T.T
Combat patrol has become stupidly expensive. For like $130 us it was good, now it's almost more expensive than buying all of the models individually
I heard a couple of times that the moving with reanimation isn’t a thing anymore? Could have heard wrong obviously but it feels kinda scummy to scuttle up like that. Feels a bit to try-hard if allowed
Something about revived units having to be in coherency with the remaining units so movement is severely limited.

Love your insights! I hope you buy a better mic and cam soon.

Very Necronic music. What is it if I may ask?
I thought the Indomitus box sold out really quickly. I was planning on buying it but it disappeared so quickly.
Anyone has any tips for making flayed one? The ones from gw are hella expensive...
i also would like some tips
I would like a 2000 point list 😅😎
Protecting your backdoor, lmao 😂
No comment,lmao 😂
was waiting.,...

Gauss reaper or flayers? please!
*For warriors, I'm building the indomitus box lot
I thought you can't daisy chain the warriors anymore just pick a model then put them in coherencey for that one or am i just confusing things

@@Planet40K yeah fair enough mate! I guess it’s not about how big it is, it’s how you use it 😉 thanks for all the great Necrons content

He’s adding a rez orb and a +1 to hit which would mean 12
Know your enemy is golden! Necrons ain’t gifted with amazing range attacks so use them wisely
clicked on the video just to say I dont give 2 shits, warriors are battleline (up to 6 squads) and can be ran in squads of 20. its showtime, baby
3rd!!!
nice one
